For anyone watching the game Wilson can spin it with the best of them and throws a beautiful ball. It's been hard to evaluate him since UCF doesn't play defense and he has all day and then some to throw.

He also has a nice compact throwing motion.....only knock is his injury history which I think is blown way out of proportion.

How did Darnold look his last season in college?
I saw his stats - they have an aftertaste of mediocrity on paper.

Wrap YOUR head around this :
Gase was the NY Jets Head Coach (in name only apparently) throughout Sam's UN-development.
Mr. Googley-Eyes would love you as his friend the way you're diverting most of the blame away from him like this.
But you do you, man. Did Gase make Darnold throw atrocious interceptions? How about missing wide open receivers? Yes, Gase sucks but so does your but buddy Sam.....you know they can both suck, it's not mutually exclusive.
Curious as how things can be so successful on Opening Drives of just about every game and then just spiral downhill afterward.
Couldn't be because of LIVE Game-Calling (which is Gase's job)....nah. Not that.
Could Sam have been better? Of course, but he's certainly not been getting that "QB Whisperer" Assistance that was touted when the fucking idiots in Ownership hired that googly-eyed motherfucker.
In fact, Sam seemed to play much better when he had someone like Josh McCown to lean on. I wonder why that is?

Nice throw in a tight window by Wilson.
(EDIT : On a second look, I think that was poor defense on the Cornerback by not having his left hand outstretched in front of the receiver ahead of time to prevent the ball from arriving at the receiver's hands. So it's more of a good throw but lucky catch due to lousy man-to-man defense. )
Saw a similar one in the Rams game by Sam.
But I guess this guy could theoretically be drafted by the Jets if they wanted. (but based on reviewing the replay, I think a pass like that gets batted down easily and maybe intercepted in the NFL and I really do not want this guy being drafted)
If they do ultimately trade Sam, I wish him well on whatever team he ends up with as I'm sure he'll get Coaching (period) that he's never had while here with that fucktard.
Though I doubt the Jets would be able to wrangle a 1st-rounder from a team(Sam would probably fetch no higher than a 2nd).

I hate to even say it but you just KNOW he would fuckin light it up with a prick like Josh Mc-fucko-Daniels or something. Not that I'm convinced Sam is good, but he's had pure shit to work with not sure how you can deny that. Still he ain't no MaHolmes. But Gaze is fucking horrendous and does noting but destroy entire teams and QBs just look at his history and Ryan Tannehill it's all the evidence you need to know that nobody truly knows shit about Sam who's DEFINITELY been stunted in his growth and possibly permanently damaged. I knew this moron Gaze was a huge mistake when I saw all the dolphins fans not only laughing they ass off but giving condolences to jet fans. Fuckin loser ass franchise brought to you by aluminum spiking baking soda making Johnson and Johnson. Ugh

Watching how he played in the last game makes me think he's not permanently damaged (YET) and he's young enough that another team can get his career going in the right direction (with actual coaching).
If the Jets do trade him, I hope it's out of the Division or Out-of-Conference 'cause while Sam isn't a Can't-miss Superstar QB like Trevor seems to be, he still has that capability of being an Upper-Tier Franchise QB that's ALWAYS competing in the Playoffs (and maybe get to a Superbowl or two) and I'm sure many here won't want him to be doing that at the Jets expense(even though they fucking deserve it for fucking up his development).
It sucks but it may seem that his future is not with the Jets.
(Then again, it would be a blessing if it were somewhere else so we'll see...)

Look at Tanninhill(sp). He was a mediocre Qb under Gase. He goes to the Titans and becomes a good Qb in less than a season. I do not think Sammy will ever be Brees or a Brady but I think, with decent coaching, he could be an effective and productive Qb.

Pretty much the same viewpoint I have.
But please do NOT trade Sam to the Patriots.
That is the absolute LAST THING (but a very JETS THING) the Jets should do here.

^^^ Sam had a shitty year with a shitty coach. That doesn't tell me anything new.
Last season, with the same shitty coach, he fared much better (19 to 13 TD/INT ratio; Over 80+ overall QB rating; etc.).
What was different? Oh that's right.
He had JOSH McCOWN basically be the QB COACH AND QB WHISPERER that Gase Never was!!
That they won 7 games is a testament to Josh's Coaching Darnold.
