Exactly what point are you trying to make here? I simply pointed out that he had a better year last season because he had SOMEONE who knew how to help him be QB in this league in McCown (once he left, there was no QB Whisperer because Gase NEVER WAS ONE TO BEGIN WITH!). But fine....Let's do it your way :
1st Year - Completed over 57% of his passes. Almost threw for 3000 yards his rookie season (2865). Had a TD/INT ratio that was ultimately positive (17 TDs / 15 INTs) with a 77.6 QB Rating(not excellent but still Solid)
2nd Year - Completed over 61% of his passes. Threw for over 3000 yards (3024). Showed some improvement in his TD/INT ratio (19 TDs to 13 INTs) with an 84.3 QB Rating.
This Year - Completed just under 60% (59.73) of his passes. He seems to be well on his way to throw for far fewer yards this season. His TD/INT ratio is abysmal this season along with a deserved 70.7 rating.
Conclusion : Sam had the worst season as a QB (in general) will EVER have this season. Oh and he's now hated because he prevented (seemingly) Trevor Lawrence from being a Jet.
(and now everyone is on Zach Wilson's nuts for some reason.)
The point Im trying to make is that based on history he is much more likely than not going to stay a scrub. Thus, we are wasting our time in my opinion. vin, I was as big a Sam supporter as anybody. I've seen enough. And yes, I was already counting my chickens with Lawrence and the fact that Sam decided to have an average game cost me that so I am more upset than usual.
I don't think Sam can "decide" to have an average game. I saw a completely different game plan being used against the Rams that consisted of getting the ball out of Sam's hands more quickly.
I think Gase fucked us over on his way out instead of just keeping things as they are.
Whatever, though.
It's tiresome to argue back and forth on this.
What you say or what I say ultimately won't matter in the end.
It will come down to what Joe D decides to do.
I think if he decides to draft Fields/Williams, then Sam is being traded.
If he drafts that monster on the O-Line or that WR...OR trades down, then we know Sam is staying.
Or Joe could just trade Sam before the draft, too.

You 2 should stop fighting. Don’t let a disgusting thing like the Jets ruin Xmas Eve. Besides, you’re both right - Darnold may have been good if he was drafted by a competent team that knew how to build a roster. But, he was unfortunately for him drafted by the worst run organization in American history. So, he sucks donkey dick and is on track to be one of the worst QBs in the NFL since those losers he’s surrounded with in that chart above. They blew the Lawrence pick because Gase is a smarmy Googley eyed scumbag. Cuomo, Deblasio and Adam Gase are the 3 most hated fucking cunts in NY. Now kiss and make up you guys. It’s Xmas eve. 🤗 Nah. When that delusional homer goes on his ridiculous rants, I have no problems poking back, especially when he started the animosity. He's a super sensitive pussy wearing hat that wails away when someone doesn't agree with him or it. The fact that he puts one of the ten posters on this site on ignore is beyond laughable. I just hope I haven't hurt his feelings to a degree that it is beyond repair. Ok - now it’s Christmas Day. You too gotta make up. Maybe we will have a Christmas miracle and they will finally announce the move to Nome. Omg! Please God and Santa Claus move the Jets, although Santa probably doesn’t want the Jets suckatude closer to the North Pole.

It doesn’t matter. Trevor woulda been a game changing talent that would have pushed the Jets into relevance like Peyton did with the colts. They would have been actually watchable because he’s such an exciting young gun who, even if they weren’t winning, would have been must watch football. Other than getting him, none of it matters. The Jets are going to be basement dwelling losers for the next 20 years with the Bills and Fins kicking their ass and getting better every year. Completely unwatchable and boring. It is over and I suggest we all just watch from afar (do not watch live or show up to games, ever) and laugh as they continue on another decade of floundering ineptitude.

The AFC East is going to be harder to win in the next 10 years than it was for the previous 20. There are now two teams that have legit HC/GM/QB trifectas and who knows what the Pats do. Belidick may get his boy Jimmy G back and that puts them worlds ahead of us. This 10 year drought can become 20 very quickly. At the beginning of the years I was looking forward to not paying attention to the season. I figured we would be 3-13 or 4-12 and have no real shot at the top pick. I didnt even want the top pick. I just hoped Sam would show improvement even though the team sucked and we would build around him with a high pick and new staff. But along the way Sam became Sanchez and we were worse than I thought and the #1 pick became a possibility. Thats what pulled me back in. And Im an idiot for thinking past the sale. I already had Lawrence here. And now hes gone. At this point I would say we are more likely to not make the playoffs the next 10 years than we are to win the division even once. The Browns have surpassed us. They have a future.

Well I'm a glutton for punishment then, DDNY and Rep, 'cause I'm still going to force myself to watch this franchise stumble and bumble their way through Next Season. So unless there's a Christmas Miracle and the Jags somehow forget to TANK and beat the Bears, this is the shit-sandwich we've been served.
The only thing I can do is swallow it and hope that Joe D at least proves he's no Maccagnan(or however the fuck his stupid name is spelled) and makes all the RIGHT moves.

It’s sooo much more satisfying to root against them. They have nothing going for them - shitty unlikeable players, asshole googly eyed smarmy coaches, completely inept mentally challenged ownership, a dump stadium that looks like it was designed by the Soviet Union for use in Chernobyl that’s in a toxic swamp that isn’t even theirs, craptastic disgusting puke colored boring uniforms and clip art helmet logo, zero fans and no support, all with a history the Lions and/or Browns laugh at. Embrace the hate bro. You will be so much happier. Nome or bust. Please let them die in peace. Alone, cold, scared and in the dark. It’s the Jets way.

Im not going to tell people to not watch games. I may have said that in a fit of rage but obviously youre free to do whatever you want. But ultimately that is the only power we have. To stop watching on TV, going to games and buying merch. The early returns on Joe D drafts have been good. He has made good trades. FA signings have been meh. And if Darnold is our QB next year then he is married to him. No more honeymoon bc he didnt get to pick his QB.

EXACTLY. Which is why I provided the scenario in an earlier post regarding what Joe D might do.
I do not believe he will trade Darnold prior to the draft but I do think that depending on who he drafts(or if he trades down or not), we will know for certain if he believes Sam still has a future here or not.

Stay at #2 and take Penei the beast. Then keep drafting offense.
I want this.
I want this SO BAD.
Becton on one side and Penei on the other = BONER PANTS
And sign Joe Thuney for one of the guard spots!

Before yesterday, I would have said if Joe Douglas is sold on Darnold NOT being the answer, the play would be to try and move down one spot and extract an extra pick out of Cincy, in order for them to move up and grab Sewell. Then grab whatever QB he likes at #3 overall.
Cincy however won, so they pick 5th, unless they lose week 17 and Houston and Atlanta win. Miami having Houstons pick throws a wrench in things.
If Cincy stays at 5 next week, you could still trade with them and drop down to 5th, assuming Cincy grabs Sewell, Miami isnt going QB, so your only risk is Atlanta taking the QB you like - but if JD has two QBs ranked evenly, maybe thats not a concern.
What I would not like to see is the Jets stand pat at 2, take a QB, and then Miami grabs the highest rated OT in ages.
