Before yesterday, I would have said if Joe Douglas is sold on Darnold NOT being the answer, the play would be to try and move down one spot and extract an extra pick out of Cincy, in order for them to move up and grab Sewell. Then grab whatever QB he likes at #3 overall. Cincy however won, so they pick 5th, unless they lose week 17 and Houston and Atlanta win. Miami having Houstons pick throws a wrench in things. If Cincy stays at 5 next week, you could still trade with them and drop down to 5th, assuming Cincy grabs Sewell, Miami isnt going QB, so your only risk is Atlanta taking the QB you like - but if JD has two QBs ranked evenly, maybe thats not a concern. What I would not like to see is the Jets stand pat at 2, take a QB, and then Miami grabs the highest rated OT in ages. I'm confused why JD doesn't stay at 2 and take the highest rated OL The jets are NOT set at OL yet. Great ol will make any of the shit ass QBs better. Can even go get one of those scrambler QBs at that point

For anyone interested Sam Ehlinger for Texas will be playing in his bowl game in a few minutes. He definitely intrigues me as a prospect even though he doesn't get much love from the media, although we've seen many later round QB's succeed in the NFL. Guy is a baller that lays it all out there every game and he is a four year starter.

Also look at the passrusher from Texas Joseph Ossai.....dude has a motor that doesn't stop and should definitely be on our radar.

Someone posted a mock on JN the other day that I thought sounded perfect through Round 1. We traded down for a haul and wound up with DeVonta Smith and Ossai on Day 1. I said before that Ossai reminds me of Yannick Ngakoue without the sh*tty attitude. I love his burst off the snap and how the kid plays every down like it’s his last. He’s still a bit raw and needs to develop more of a passrush repertoire but I’m definitely a fan. Ossai in the 20’s >>> Rousseau in the Top 10

I've watched a ton of UT this year and the guy is relentless with great size.

Another darkhorse WR I'll bring up from Texas is Brennan Eagles. He's a huge outside target and I've always been impressed by his play. Not sure if he declares because he has one more year of elegibilty.
Edit: He opted out of the game also so at least we know he will declare. I like him better than Colin Johnson who ended up going in the fifth round.....maybe a fourth round steal for us.
