Mixed feelings
--love marshalls aggressive play and he's the most bonafide red zone target we've had since burress.
--save money, but we gave up a 5th. So now we're wothout a 5th and a sixth and we saved 2.5... Not really much to gush about.
--mildly bummed we won't get crabtree now.
--think the missing piece now is Justin Hardy. Draft him in the second round and we have a complete WR corps

If Marshal where placed in this years draft as is right now, what spot would he be picked. To fall to 5th round is as if every team forgot about him. This is a slam dunk at fifth, oh and don't forget, we saved money.
I hate "oh we gave up our pick", you need the player, its either go FA and spend money, try to get in the draft, which you spend money and a draft pick on an unproven player, or do what we just did and solidify the receiving crew in one clean sweep. now to add Harvin is a plus, an add on. I hope he smartens up and re-negotiates.

The blood is returning to the dong.... I'm having all my pants tailored this weekend to put more room in the crotch! Telling them I need the pants back before FA on Tuesday.

If he is signed for $9M per year by a team not giving up a draft pick and we're paying $7.5M and a 5th rounder for a 31 year old, I'm not sure how I'd feel about that.

And saves money

It's March 19th that we have to make the decision on Harvin, correct? If so, that gives the Jets more than a week to see how their Cap is shaking out after signing some key free agents. In other words, if the Jets land a couple of expensive guys (think Maxwell, Revis, Iupati, etc.) and we're consuming 2015 Cap then that might push them to make the call on Harvin. Agreed. Also don't be shocked if we could trade him for a 6 or 7 rd pick.Lots of teams with lots of money. Might be well worth it for a team to give a sixth for him. Trade Harvin? If we do that, don't we give up our 4th instead of our 6th? And in return for that 4th, we get to keep our 6th and get another 6th or 7th? I think we'd just let him go and keep the 4th.

A Non-Premium Pick is what my not-inside-of-anything insiders tell me. Nice. You're so inside that you're outside! In either case, much better than southside. I wonder if it's a 2015 or 2016 pick. We don't have a 6th rounder this year so if it turns out to be a 7th rounder then awesome....if it's a 5th then I'm a little bit sketchy on the move because we could have kept a pick and went after a FA wide receiver next week. kind of interesting how they're already short a pick yet prefer to give up another one instead of chasing after him with big dollars in FA (and potentially losing out). Sugggest some kind of a plan, though I don't know what. Maybe all the money for a QB (who?), or Revis? (but I think the Revis talk is all pre-FA tactical)

Once again, if Harvin wakes up and re-negotiates his contract and we re-sign at a fair dollar value I am totally fine with giving up the 4th pick for Harvin. as it is now we are going to have to pick up a receiver in the draft, maybe 4th most likely 6th. giving up 4th and 5th for Marshall and Harvin at good money is a slam dunk, we would be the threat in the air week in and week out.... ok, with a good QB, but I think these guys with Decker will elevate Geno's play.
I like it.

Reggie Wayne is also hitting the market now I hear. seriously, I"m surprised the Colts didn't outbid us (given their history with that ridiculous Trent Richardson trade). They have nothing for Andrew Luck. Zip zilch nada
