My prediction for our draft? We somehow find a way to screw it up. Why mess with the status quo?

I think it's essentially guaranteed that either Cooper, White, Beasley or Ray will be a Jet in 12 days. Someone is going to make a move up to #2 for Mariota and I doubt that Fowler falls to us. I think the price at #2 for Mariota will be too steep, but say if he drops to Washington the Rams would have enough ammo to get him since they traded Bradford for Foles. Then Foles starts while Mariota sits a year. Plus the Redskins could use the picks after the Rams raped them for RGIII. I think it goes Bucs - Jameis Winston Titans - Leonard Williams Jags - Vic Beasley Raiders - Kevin White Rams - Mariota Jets - Cooper Bears - Fowler Falcons - Dupree Giants - Collins Redskins - Ray Flats* - Byron Jones who busts. The good news is none of those guys you listed would really be a bad pick for us - definitely ways we should lean but it'll be hard to fuck this pick up.

Mariota. If he's gone Jets stay O and take either Cooper or White, whichever WR the Raiders leave behind I'm not even convinced that Oakland goes WR if Leonard Williams it still hanging around. The kid is the best player in the draft and I'm sure a defensive guy like Del Rio would love to get his hands on him. Williams and Mack would give them two amazing pieces to build around on defense. Totally agree. But for my draft to play out I had Williams going at 2 to the Titans. If he's somehow there for the raiders they'll scoop him up in a second, as they should.

i predict we will trade our pick Haha, which direction? How about both directions. We trade down to get some additional picks and use those picks to move back up and grab someone that we are targeting. I can see Mac being very aggressive in how he maneuvers up and down in the draft.

Dunno. I just get the feeling we gonna have interesting trade offers. Might be no direction if Mariotta is still there at 6. Though I really don't think Phillip Rivers would accept a trade to Jets.

I wonder who might be our trade partner to move down, if both QB's are gone 1 and 2 (as excpected)? Anyway I was hoping they would trade down to snag a good olineman but that doesn't seem like a priority for this administration. Other than Andrus Peat I guess who has visited (who won't last past 10? Seeing how they didnt' prioritize the position in FA, or the RB position either, I'm guessing that they think Gailey's offense can function with lower grade OL and RB?

I can see us trading down from the sixth and draft a guy like Dupree then make a move with Carolina for the 25th pick ahead of the Ravens and draft Melvin Gordon.

My only prediction for the draft is that I will say "WTF ?" at least once to a Jets pick. I base this on following the Jets draft intently for as long as I can remember and having it always happen at least once. And if it doesn't happen, I'll take it as a good sign.

Who do you think will want to trade up with us once the QB's are gone? Well the saints are definitely hot for Kevin White, the ideal spot to draft him is at #6 before the Bears. What if Leonard Williams falls to 6? It is possible and if that happens a slew of teams might come calling. Just a thought.

I've got a feeling we end up with Bud Dupree. I think the QBs, Fowler, Cooper and Williams will be gone and the Jets will pick Dupree - hopefully after a trade down but possibly even at 6.

I like Bud Dupree, but if we stand pat at 6 and Vic Beasley is there, to me that is a no brainer. The guy has a proven track record as a pass rusher and can be lined up all over the field. Bowles loves to be creative with his formations and looks...this to me is a perfect fit.
