Two weeks and counting. Can't come soon enough. So, make your prediction of what will happen in the draft. Anything. Who the Jets pick, whether they trade down for more picks, move up for a QB, what other teams will do, who will be embarrassed in the green room, anything. Prize for winning TBD
I'll start:
After picking defense year after year and Jets fans screaming for offense again and again, The Jets will go defense wuth their first pick. All the people who screamed for offense every year will be perfectly fine with going defense yet again, because Macagnan and Bowles.

The Jets Draft? My prediction??? Pain!  Jets will go Defense, selecting either Vic Beasley or Shane Ray given that Mariota, Fowler and Amari Cooper will all be gone. |

I'll say if Mariota makes it to 6 I think that's our pick, but if he's off the board & Cooper is still available then we take him. Our WR depth isn't great if Marshall or Decker get injured then we will be looking at a similar situation to last season. If Cooper is gone then it's probably defense and Fowler or Beasley.
The players I would want at 6:
Cooper/White - we need depth, Cooper is quick and smooth. White could learn how to play from Marshall and hast the height, weight, speed combo
Mariota - only if he makes it to 6. We need to find a qb. He has intelligence, decent arm.
Fowler/Beasley - we need a pass rusher, as everyone knows.
I can't wait for the draft. Can't get here soon enough.

The Gholston pick. The rest I guess will be offense. Thought they'd use one on a running back but they don't seem interested in the position judging by the visits. Too bad because this is a really deep RB class. |

Mariota. If he's gone Jets stay O and take either Cooper or White, whichever WR the Raiders leave behind I'm not even convinced that Oakland goes WR if Leonard Williams it still hanging around. The kid is the best player in the draft and I'm sure a defensive guy like Del Rio would love to get his hands on him. Williams and Mack would give them two amazing pieces to build around on defense. |

I think it's essentially guaranteed that either Cooper, White, Beasley or Ray will be a Jet in 12 days.
Someone is going to make a move up to #2 for Mariota and I doubt that Fowler falls to us.

Then Foles starts while Mariota sits a year. Plus the Redskins could use the picks after the Rams raped them for RGIII. I think it goes Bucs - Jameis Winston Titans - Leonard Williams Jags - Vic Beasley Raiders - Kevin White Rams - Mariota Jets - Cooper Bears - Fowler Falcons - Dupree Giants - Collins Redskins - Ray Pats - Byron Jones who busts. |

Who the hell is going to cover him in that scenario? We would have a lot of flexibility on offense. We'd have our #1 in Marshall and Decker, Cooper, and Kerley can all play inside and outside. Plus like you mentioned Amaro would be a huge mismatch. If Geno has any talent at all he should be able to succeed with that group of receivers. |
