On a side note....our DBs have to get their heads out of their asses.
Wasn't there someone else who got hurt at OTAs because Pryor laid a pop into them when going up for a catch in "non-contact" drills?
WTF is wrong with these guys?

no, drafting Amari would have been common sense. Based on his performance, skill set and potential if all things are equal you take him over a lineman. ANY team in the league with similar needs and an already established line would do the same. That isnt a jets thing, it's common sense. Kevin white while a popular idea didnt measure up to where Williams was rated so he wasnt chosen. Devin was selected in the second round because we don't know how long marshall will play and smart GM's know the picks you make today are plans for tomorrow unless they are flat out studs. Another example of this thinking is cro. He is a starter now but his contract is structured so that if Miliner or Mcdougal (younger guys) step up he can be cut next year without long term repercussions. Devin wasnt picked by accident or out of desperation, is was a part of a long term plan IMO. Kevin Smith didn't measure up? He was taken with the very next pick. Whatever, we will agree to disagree. I guess we still have drop machine amaro to throw to. If he ever gets on the field, cause it doesn't seem like Bowles is a fan so far. Measuring up isnt the question, he had a lower grade than Williams did as far as a draft grade. If you just want to be negative then by all means go for it. I think it's safe to say you are in the minority by feeling that Devin was supposed to come in and light it up this year. WR's on average take 2 years to develop into stars. The last few years we have gotten spoiled by some of these kids that have come out and that has falsely inflated expectations. This kid had a 5.7 grade compared to Amari's 7.1 and Kevin's 6.9. In other words he wasn't bad, just a significantly lower grade. Leonard Williams grade for example was 7.5 so it is clear why the Jets took him. He graded higher than Kevin did plain and simple. I also think you are making some assumptions about Bowles feelings on Amaro because unless I'm mistaken the kid did pretty well in practice today. It is literally 3 days into camp and you are basically claiming gloom and doom. I never thought I'd call anyone this but I nominate you for head, chief, founder, leader and president of the SOJF club of whiners. Take a bow. www.nfl.com/draft/2015/tracker#dt-tabs:dt-by-round/dt-by-round-input:1

Think the hampur should officially send devin some well wishes on twitter now that we are getting love from the players.
The silver lining to all of this is that the hype about his ability to adjust to the ball and come down with it no matter what appears to be true: broken ribs, punctured lung, two nights in the hospital so far...but he held onto the ball.
As i said yesterday, this now becomes about mental reps and truly learning the playbook. I'm def not asking Devin to deliver as OBJ did last year, but OBJ showed you can have a big impact coming in off injury if you prepare yourself. Dont rush him back, but def keep him involved and learning so he can do his best to contribute when he is ready.

Andrew Siciliano @andrewsiciliano 47m47 minutes ago Jets WR Devin Smith says he fractured three ribs in that collision in Friday's practice. Timetable still 4-6 weeks.
Was at practice today in gym shorts. Guy seems dedicated
