At the risk angering you - bullshit. Huge Bullshit bing. He's much more adapt? You're comparing his 6-10 record working Chan's system in buffalo to Dumb ass loser;s.... ZERO record. Because he hasn't played a game yet. How can you say he's more adapt, when you haven't seen the other guy? Newflash Bingo - Fitz got his ass handed to him by PHI.. who were 0-2 and couldn't stop Brandon Weeden last week Wake up Johnny!! Not to mention the fact that there were three varsity backups playing CB in the Colts secondary on Monday night after Davis went down...and the vaunted Fitzpatrick put up a whopping 10 points until the (admittedly) great drive to extend the lead to 10. With the way the Jets defense was playing and the fact that the Colts had THREE versions of Vance Joseph playing corner, Jets should have won by at least 21. Should have been 21-7 by the half. At least. Not to mention we literally had like 13 series in the 2nd half of the PHI game and couldn't do anything with them. I can't remember the last time a team down by 17 points had a zillion chances to play catch and failed on nearly all of them.

At this point if the box is stacked and they cant come up with a CPF gameplan that works Geno will probably be put in. But then again I doubt it his character is what im sure has doomed him finally. The only problem is Crossfire asked me a good question yesterday. Has Fitzpatrick ever scared you as a QB my immediate though delayed answer because I knew what the fuck he was doing ...was NO. Thats it in a nutshell can you win games yes but everything else has to be going perfect. There will be no room for mistakes with Fitz like Chad. Plus I found out Geno is a Rabid Christian and has a strong faith, So im all for giving him another chance. Also Its true maybe he does deserve a shot to see what he could do with these same receivers. He had absolute shit like mark. Biggest bonus would be how much the field will open up with him in there. Might as well find out now even if it costs us a one and out sneaking into the playoffs with Fitz

Seriously guys?
I get changing Tom's name for a quick chuckle, but if you going to have one our own QBs names as "dumb ass loser", Its our team. You don't have like them all, but you don't disrespect the brand with this kind of childish behaviour. No way we're going to attract new members or even media/player visits with this.
Lame.

But at least you're willing to recognize that Fitz ISN'T the guy, and I think once you come to that conclusion you have to find out what you have with Smith. Geno's character DOES suck. It's bad that his teammates seem to think he's a piece of shit who deserved to get his jaw broken. The point is, that COULD change. He COULD learn from his mistakes. Stranger things have happened in this world than an athlete gaining some humility along with maturity. You know what doesn't happen? Old-ass QBs all of a sudden developing arm strength they never had that allows them to play out of the mediocrity they've lived in for over a decade. Give me the possible option every day.

In my defense I never saw him play Live. And really I was hoping the arm was not as chad as I had heard. Truth if his arm was just a little bit stronger no one is even having this conversation. But his arm is that bad. I always Root for the Jets never a player and never a coach. The JETS it starts there it ends there

Might as well find out now even if it costs us a one and out sneaking into the playoffs with Fitz That's a damn honest and fair assessment right there, credit where it's due for havin a good old fashioned evaluation and and tryin to see it from both sides. Let's have it right, we are choosin between a wet noodle arm and a beady eyed dumb cunt so this is by no means anyone's ideal choice. Fitz is a solid character who can manage a game but that's where it ends with him, teams aren't scared of that noodle and and he throws just as many picks as Geno does so it is what it is. Geno is younger, we drafted him, and we need to settle this debate once and for all, the weapons are there for him and the system suits him so it's put up and nut up time for him now. I agree Geno has a terrible attitude and is a dogshit leader, but he has a live arm and can gallop like a wild horse if you give him space. Defences have to play us different with Genos skillset there's no doubt about that. I'm also Intrigued to see what he can do with a defense that can give him a short field and a true #1 in the redzone. Last year it felt like he had to drive the full length of the field evertyime he was out there. We gotta figure this thing out before the offseason because noodle is gone after this year, so it's either dumb fuck, petty or back to the draft.

I agree with the OP. Why do people seem to root for Geno to fail? And more importantly, why wouldn't they want the Jets to start a younger QB with far greater physical tools than the career back-up starting now. Fitz is a journeyman back-up QB. Not one of the teams who has seen him play had any desire to sign him. There is a reason Smith was named the #1 in camp. The new regime had no stake in Geno, but realized his ceiling is about 8 floors higher than Fitz ceiling (which I would liken to a split level ranch). So, put Geno in there. We know he is capable of great things. He's had great games. The question is, can he eliminate the bonehead plays. We'll never know unless he is given the chance to succeed, or fail. I know that when I see #7 on the field, I'll be rooting for success.
