Loose ends? A deep look into New York's TEs situation. We'll start there. What did you say you padcast about again? Haha. Videogames and technology and drinking. I understand

Who says he is graded on a different curve? Geno got 2 years and was on his way to a third as a starter until he got his jaw broken. I was rooting for him then and I would root for him again if he were the QB of the Jets again. Fitz worked with Gailey in the past, knows his system, graduated from Harvard, got a perfect score on the wonderlich, didn't get knocked out over $600, and I am sure there is more. All of that gives him an edge. It was his lack of physical skills that causes him trouble as a QB not mental IMO. The "curve" comment relates to the fact that people (many in this thread) say Geno is flat-out done after two bad seasons. You aren't saying that, but others are. Meanwhile, Fitz has been terrible for over a decade (minus the solid year with HOU)...but fans still prefer him to a player that at least still has some sort of upside. It might not be a high upside, but there's potential for upside. Fitz has established his ceiling as game manager who can win when the team is +3 or more in the turnover battle. We should not be accepting that type of play when there's someone on the roster who MIGHT be better right now. Those points highlighted in bold will apply to about 50% of the '16 class in Harvard. If those held true intrinsic value with respect to the QB position, there'd be several more college QBs in the NFL. No matter how smart Fitzpatrick is, no level of intelligence will help him hit a 15-yard out from the opposite hash mark. A QB has to have the requisite physical skills to be impactful at the QB position, regardless of how intelligent they are. Fitz does not. To the point of the thread, all fans should want Geno to come in and play better than he has to date, because that might be fortuitous for the Jets' future. The strange part is that it seems many (not necessarily you) don't even want to give him one more chance to be good. The alternative (beard man) does absolutely nothing for the future of this franchise. I was all for giving him a chance and then he got his jaw broken. I think EVERYONE (Pats* trolls excluded) would be thrilled if the coaching staff said Geno was the best chance to win and Geno came in and played great football and won the Jets some games. I think we have all soured on him though because he has let us down a bunch of times.

Sorry all...Geno is not the answer to any question...he's had his shot...he sucks. Fitz is serviceable and we had Ivory and Decker out... Fitz this year, bye bye Geno in the off season, Bryce Petty starts in 2016. We won't make the playoffs for a few years until Petty learns and progresses... But anyone here that still thinks Geno can lead this team is delusional.. I could not agree more. The sooner Genope-A-Dope (wifey made that up) is cut from this team the sooner we can move forward in a positive way. Him being on this team keeps the Jets in the cesspool.
