I was disgusted watchin them celebrate the way they did, giving him the game ball etc. Rex is trying to get his record to 5-11 to salvage what's left of his pride goin into his next gig. None of them can judge us when all we are doing is thinking down the line after all these bums are let go. Rex got screwed by Idzik twice in a row, what else could you possibly expect him to do? And someone who wants to win more than anything, isn't that the type of person you really want as your coach? Rex was screwed by Idzik twice in a row? Where was Rex when all of these player evaluations were going on? Rex has been here 6 years, Idzik 2 years. I don't expect Rex to want to lose games, it's the comments that "real" Jet fans don't want to lose that pisses people off. I also don't give a fuck that players supposedly play hard for him and that is some sort of a badge of honor for Rex. Players are supposed to play hard, that's what they get paid to do, I don't credit the coach for that. The whole players play hard for the coach is such an overrated attribute, and usually when you are left with that as your only defense towards a HC, he is already done.

No. It's lame to celebrate win #3 in week 15 against a 2-11 team with an injury list longer than a list of Jet's draft busts. He can congratulate the players, but any "celebration" whatsoever is without question lame.

I still can't believe how worked up fans get about this appearance shit. Who really cares what he says in the post game presser? It has no influence on the outcome or anything moving forward. The coach has to follow a PC fan-approved script. Please. Especially considering he's history. Who cares?

Rex is out of excuses with me, I'm absolutely sick to the back teeth of him and his apologists. Rex has never had a QB. Rex got shafted by Tanny. Rex got shafted by Idzik. Rex does not have good enough DB's Rex does not have enough talent. Well here is the reality.... Rex has chosen 2 OC's and been through 3, his coaching hires are a shambles. Rex has had 5 1st round picks and resources poured into his Defense. Hes had 2 young QB's that regressed under his guidance. Hes a terrible in game manager. The wildcat and ground and pound ethos has been forced down 3 coordinators throat. Hes sub 500 as a coach. He's missed the playoffs 4 years in a row. He inherited the 09/10 team, he's failed with his input and fingerprints all over the current roster. Theres no accountability for failure, the players run the asylum under him. Most of the dysfunction is a direct result of his mouth. Our offense has been a disaster under him but he forgets he's responsible for both sides of the ball. Need I go on? Look I loved Rex but Idzik is the easy target in all this, same as all the mentioned above scapegoats, Rex is FINALLY responsible for the disaster this team has been over the last 3 years. So yes I do not take kindly to him and his chump team celebrating a disastrous win like they won the SB and achieved something, then calling out the fans for hoping we can find a silver lining in this putrid season him and his team put us through. Enough is enough.

Considering the absolute crap Idzik gave Rex to work with this year, and I'm sure he expected a 1-2 win season as a result, this actually is a SB win for these grocery bag next week packers.

VTN, why are you defending Rex like this? Because it's easy to blame the boring ivy educated un-charismatic no personality guy whose been on the job less then 2 years then it is to blame the funny brash charm filled idiot who was part of a problem that already existed prior to Idziks appointment.

What do the teams that have fallen (risen?) to the top of the draft have in common? They need a QB. The Jets are in the same position as the Bucs or the Titans, the difference is that Rex Ryan has coached them out of the top two spots. Idzik should have fired him after the bye week for the long term good of the team. ETA: the CBS mock draft has the Jets picking a DE at 6. SMH ETA2: Coach of the Year Bruce Arians was headed to the SB until he lost his QB

Yes, and their 3rd string Qb is about equal to our first string.

Gregory is the sole defensive player that I wouldn't mind taking in the Top 10. We've been complaining ever since we traded Abe away almost a decade ago that we need a terrorizing passrusher off the edge and Gregory has DeMarcus Ware written all over him. He's shown that he can play with his hand in the dirt and standing up. He's also flashed the ability to drop back in coverage and cover TE's and slot receivers in space. Coples is best suited as a DL and guys like Pace and Babin are going to be gone after this season. OLB is definitely going to be a big need for this team...and potentially DE if the new coach wants to run more of a base 4-3. Gregory can play both One could argue that he's nearly as much of a physical freak as Clowney without all of the questions surrounding his desire and work ethic.

Yes actually that's exactly who it is. But I will laugh when we finally get this offensive minded HC (or even another defensive minded one) and with the highest pick we've had in years, pick another defensive player. I'm sure it'll be Rex's doing.
