"Somebody has to step up and become a superstar."Hack not ready. Petty not ready. Fitz shot his load last year. Is Geno that guy? He has the ability. Let's see if they give him a chance. He does? What makes you say that?

You guys simply aren't true Jet fans if you agree with this assclown. That's a fact. I, for one, am damn proud to be a fan of this team and fully expect them to win at least 10 games this season. Anyone who disagrees can take a backseat. Oh look. The fan police showed up. Yay! I dont see much at issue with what Bart said. The team has a very tough schedule, and Fitz had a career year for 15 games last year. Anywhere from 6-10 to 10-6 seems a possibility, and 10-6 would be with everything breaking right, and players stepping up, like Bart said, to be new stars.

Nothing has shown or proven Geno has that ability. Pretty much the exact opposite. This is coming from someone who has supported him his entire tenure here.

The only thing that bothers me is the automatic assumption that we will do worse based on the schedule. That's the dumbest analysis an NFL person can throw out in May.

yeah, not superstar ability, but better than Fitz ability was really what I was thinking. Physical ability yes... but I have my doubts about his mental ability. He has made too many poor decisions on and off the field for me to trust him. Then again, I don't trust Fitz either.

Yes he is an ass.. But I agree with him... Me too. I hope for the best but I am expecting a 6-10 ish season. It sucks because I think we could have made some noise in the playoffs last year and this team is going to look very different in 2017. Revis, Mangold, Marshall, Harris, Breno and Mo could all be gone. Thats why when you got your shot in this league you gotta get over the hump. 5 years no playoffs can turn into 10 very quickly. Good news is I think we have a HC with a pretty high ceiling and a good GM. Hopefully they can work some magic. imo, 6-10 is way too low, even without fitz. i may wear green tinted glasses but it's not like fitz was a world better qb. he has some serious limitations. his best point was on field leadership. he got the attention of the offense and had it the whole season. i'm not saying that genot has what it takes to lead the team but he does have a good arm and he will also have two very good receivers plus other guys like amaro and enunwa who have made some good catches. smith, when he comes back will give them a true deep threat and genot can get the ball out to him. fitz almost never got the ball in front of smith. the defense should be better. they drafted speed and still have the best dline in the nfl. revis is still very good and williams should be able to fill cromarties shoes. maybe macdougal shows something maybe milliner gets his act together. and on special teams they will be upgrading the punter. so things are looking up with or without fitz. i'm predicting 12-4.

Scott is acting like he's a genius who can predict the upcoming season. You'd never see an ex-cheaters player dishing the Cheats because they are homers to the core. I realize Scott was a Raven most of his career but got big money to come to the Jets, so just say the Jets have a tough schedule in front of them. Any knowledgeable Jet fan knows that at face value it's a tough start to the season in an improved AFC East. That being said, I hope the Jets overachieve, make the playoffs to shove it up all the critic's respective asses.

What makes you say that? There is one relevant Jets precedent, Vinny Testeverde. He had a Parcells type coach; teh coach "reigned him in"...until Vinny could throw 29 TDs And everybody here knows when the coach sits you, you watch and go back in, sharper. So I'm looking for a little dead-cat bounce from 7.
