Get a firestick and install Kodi. Takes 20 minutes to do. You get everything for free - sports, movies, tv. Just need a wifi signal. No VPN needed. You'll get all the NFL games.

About 3 years ago, I did something similar, but DTV had me agree to a 2 year commitment. I was thinking of calling again this year, but was wondering if they will know I am a "repeat" threatened canceller? My big problem is that where I live in PA, I get all of the NY sports channels because Comcast owns the Phillies, Flyers, and 76ers broadcasts and will not contract with DTV. So, they give me SNY, YES and MSG. If I switch I lose the Mets, Rangers, and Knicks. And I can't get the Met games on MLB Ticket (or whatever it is called) because they are blacked out here. If I could, I would switch to Comcast and save a boatload of money. I would just be forced to watch the Jet Games on Season Pass instead of NFL Ticket. Yeah, you're in an interesting situation regarding coverage and blackouts. It's like you're too close to NY to get Mets on MLB.TV but too far to get your NY sports channels if you went to Comcast. The only thing I can tell you for sure is that if you made a 2-year commitment 3 years ago then you should be off contract and you can definitely negotiate some type of discount or credit. Call them, tell them you're off contract, and that the costs are just too high compared to Comcast. Tell them it's hard to see new subscribers getting DTV's best deals when you've been a customer for many years. You could even talk about removing some channels, going to a lower tier package, etc. but that you'd really like to keep what you have and just ask for any loyalty discounts, etc. Good luck. Called to cancel telling them the deal from Comcast was just too good since I am already paying them $69/month for my internet service. DTV offered me two options to stay. Enter into a 1 year contract and get $50 per month off my bill for one year, or without a contract take $40 per month off my bill for 1 year. I chose the option without a contract. I am thinking of cancelling after the NFL regular season, and seeing how long I have to have no service with DTV before I am eligible for one of the new customer sweatheart deals.

I tried via online chat to ask for a deal - got offered NOTHING!
I'll try calling in a day.

Last year got free NFL package, just tried testing waters, but they said 44 per month, i said no.
Next step is to ask for cancellation department and see what they do.
Sounds like a couple calls this year.

Can you elaborate on how this works? For some reason DTV did not auto-renew my subscription and I'm hoping I get it free this year. Believe it or not, but my brother got the ticket for free a couple of years back because they didn't auto-renew his subscription.

You (or someone) installs kodi onto the fire stick. In kodi you install all of the "add ons". Think of an "add on" like an app you download on your phone. Some are for sports, some for tv and movies, some are for live tv. These "add ons" basically pull from streaming sites and you watch directly on your tv, but it's very organized. It's really great. Any movie, tv show, or game are all on there and all 100% free. There are a lot of different ways to set it up. It really depends on which format you install, but it all basically does the same thing. Sportsdevil is the best one for sports streaming. This is a video about that specific add on. Just go on youtube and there's tons of videos on kodi. This is exodus, another add on. The best one for movies and tv shows. Shows how it works.

I'll probably pony up the $300 for the ticket so I'm guaranteed to watch my Jets every week in full HD without any hiccups. Correct me if I'm wrong but does this device only bring you sketchy illegal feeds directly too your TV? Is it the same as using your PC, visiting these sites, and just hooking up an HDMI cable?

The live sports streaming won't be in HD for the most part. Some are HD, but most live games are not, but at least you're watching them and it's very reliable. All the games will be on there. It only pulls what's being streamed so quality can vary. It's better than nothing if you don't have any other options or don't want to pay. The movies and TV shows are all HD. It's basically like netflix. It is basically like visiting the sites on your computer, but there are no ads and pop ups. It's all very organized.
