A shooting in Terrytown Thursday afternoon (Dec. 1) left a man dead after an argument at an intersection, according to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office.
Family members at the scene identified the victim as Joe McKnight, former NFL player and local high school football standout. McKnight, who went to John Curtis Christian School in River Ridge, played for the New York Jets and the Kansas City Chiefs.

A witness, who declined to give her name, said she was leaving a store in the area when she saw a man at the intersection yelling at another man, who was trying to apologize. The man who was yelling shot the other man more than once, she said.
She said the shooter shot the man, stood over him and said "I told you don't you f--- with me." Then he fired again, she said.
The victim's body was on Behrman Highway, surrounded by a shield.

Very sad.
Almost as sad was getting rid of Woodcock for him.

Very sad. Almost as sad was getting rid of Woodcock for him. We didn't get rid of Woodhead for him. We got rid of Woodhead for Sanchez's best friend Scotty McKnight.

We got rid of Woodhead so we could put David Clowney on the roster while Santonio Holmes sat out his 4 game suspension. Woodhead had been switched to WR because he was not cracking the lineup as a RB on that team. We put Clowney on the roster and waived Woodhead to put him on the PS and he was poached. Clooney was cut when Holmes came off suspension. _

Wow RIP.
Did he run a couple of kickoffs back for a TD?

Cool. That doesn't prove that the final cut came down to McKnight and Woodhead. Like Stokes pointed out it came down to Clowney and Woodhead, and we kept Clowney because of Holmes suspension.

Wow RIP. Did he run a couple of kickoffs back for a TD? Yes, and broke the tackle of a shitty WR we traded for. He also had a 158 yards against the Bills his rookie year.

At the time Woodhead got cut he was a WR. He was never going to make it as a RB on that 2010 team. I believe he even switched numbers to 83 In 2009. He filled in for Brad Smith in 2009 when Smith got hurt. As a WR. _ _
