Well, we got the best player on our team the last time we picked 6th. Let's do it again. Well, the time they picked sixth before that, they drafted one of the biggest busts in franchise (and possibly NFL) history. No such thing as a positive trend in terms of the history of this team. That wasnt this GM. Don't be silly. There is obviously something great about Mac and the 6th pick.

I hope but it won't happen this team take Allen, peppers or Wilson. The last thing this team needs is another defensive player. The defense is the least of this teams problems. The reason the defense collapsed was because the offense suck so bad the defense couldn't get off the field. I'm with you we need a weapon a game changer than we need a OT in the second round maybe grab A QB like Brad Kaaya or grab another OL. The defense will improve once the offense can actually sustain a drive.

Running back O-Line TE O-line Corner LB O-Line Unfortunately BPA will probably be. 1st RB/CB, 2nd CB/RB/TE/OG/WR, 3rd CB/RB/TE, 4th CB/TE/RB/WR. We'd probably have to reach for an OT at any of our picks. Right now the best tackles are worth mid to late 1sts picks. Then the 2nd round will probably be filled with OGs, but we have Carpenter and Winters (maybe).

Cannot go into the draft needing to fill that hole. That is priority #1 for me in March: Starting LT.

We need to find a 1-2 year stop gap in FA and hope we can draft someone or sign a better one next year.

I know he's injury prone, but he may be the best candidate for the scenario you and Lith are presenting.

He's 28/29 so he should have a few good years left and not cost too much.

I think we need to go in a different direction.

Decent in the right side and will probably find work there -- but he was a better candidate at Guard I thought. But what do i know At this point, Whitworth is my #1. He's reliable, won't cost a king's ransom -- and gives us 2 years to figure out who the long term option is.

I'm thinking Rieff will be expensive. With a few cuts it won't matter. We can easily afford him and he's probably the best option if we want to protect our young QB. Hopefully we can give him a Gilchrist type deal where he's easily cut after 2 years. I doubt that we'd have to give him a lot of guaranteed money since the Packers cut him before the season.
