My bad. I was typing too quick. I think in my head I meant much last than 6 overall. Since that seems to be the biggest issue when anyone mentions taking cook or fournette at 6 I scream offensive lineman every year and even I don't think there is one worthy of 6 overall. Check out that Garcia kid, he's the real deal and I can see him flying up the boards come draft time. Hopefully he hangs around for us in the high second. But yea such a weak class that if like you said he has upside he's gonna be gone in the late first

It's set in stone Even if we lost today, we'd still most likely have picked 6th. Bring on Fournette You almost need billboards and Fire Rex level pressure to draft offense in rd 1 at this point... Its so many years running...and Woody must be dying to draft his obj... Maybe we break the Blair Thomas curse by drafting a RB that delivers? Devin Smith was supposed to be the Jets answer to OBJ. And it failed miserably.

So, here is the scary part. Not onlyl is this considered a bad year for OT in the draft, but it is also a bad year for Free Agents. Here is the current list of 2017 FA Left Tackles: Andrew Whitworth Matt Kalil Riley Reiff William Beatty Bradley Sowell Jake Long Benjamin Ijalana Tony Hills Mike Adams Nick Becton David Quessenberry Not a lot of options beyond the first three. I don't think over a quarter of those names on the list are in the league right now. Unfortunately, that is kind of my point. I have been saying we need to find another starter in FA, but there may not be a lot of options. Going to be a lot of competition in the FA market for only a few competent OTs. Whitworth at 35 is probably more interested in being with a winner, I really don't see him signing up for a rebuild with the Jets. Kalil missed most of the season with a hip injury, I believe he is coming off surgery for it. Beatty has not started a game in two years. Not sure what happened to Jake long's career -- if it was derailed by injuries, or he just never lived up to the #1 overall pick. Haven't watched a whole lot of Seattle, but I am not sure Bradley Sowell is much of an upgrade over Ijalana. Unless there are some cap casualties from other teams who can play, Macc may need to get creative to find a starter. Either another Clady type trade where we give up a late pick (and I don't think that makes sense for a rebuilding team) or he may need to do some wheeling and dealing on draft day to get into position to find a guy who can start. Would you be willing to flip a 2 & a 3 to move into the back half of the first round for a Ramczyk, Bolles or Garcia?

One guy I wouldn't do it for is Bolles....I don't even like him and he'll be 25 years old before he takes his first snap in the NFL. No thanks.

A 2nd rd pick was never our gambit at drafting an OBJ. In any case, he hasnt been healthy long enough for us to know better. Shame he hurt his lung on that play in camp.

Leonard Fournette or Dalvin Cook please!
This offense is devoid of game changing talent and drafting one of these backs at 6 gives us one.
I won't get into a debate about which one to take but my preference is Fournette.
Sign Andrew Whitworth to a short deal doesn't look like any OL is worth the 6th pick this year...

In his favor, the perfect symmetry of two Leonards selected at 6 on either side of the ball. Leonard Part 6 lives on.

Malik Hooker just declared
Another name to add to the mix. He's the centerfielder at safety that we sorely lack.

Penn state is winning the Rose Bowl. Guess they are better off without Hackensuck. Worst QB in Penn State history and newest loser waste 2nd round pick.

Hmm. So you take Fournette/Cook with #6 and maybe move up with the 2nd pick to get this LT Garcia from Troy?

Hmm. So you take Fournette/Cook with #6 and maybe move up with the 2nd pick to get this LT Garcia from Troy? Senior Bowl is going to be huge for Garcia, but at this time I like that scenario. We finally place an emphasis on offense and get a homerun hitter(I prefer Cook...I think) and a LT for the future. There are so many names that will still come out of the woodwork between now and the draft, it's just inevitable. Do you remember Eric Fisher at this time during the draft process a few years ago. Truth is nobody did and he eventually went number 1 overall.

Would sound great read by Family guy boxing champ Floyd Witherspoon... heart of a champion.... margarine hat.
