Hmm. So you take Fournette/Cook with #6 and maybe move up with the 2nd pick to get this LT Garcia from Troy? Senior Bowl is going to be huge for Garcia, but at this time I like that scenario. We finally place an emphasis on offense and get a homerun hitter(I prefer Cook...I think) and a LT for the future. There are so many names that will still come out of the woodwork between now and the draft, it's just inevitable. Do you remember Eric Fisher at this time during the draft process a few years ago. Truth is nobody did and he eventually went number 1 overall. I think a lot of draft boards had Geno #1 in the draft around this time....

Geno was number 1 when he was running it up on James Madison (who knew James Madison played football?) and a Housman hopeful. By mid year he was no longer number 1 on anyone's boards and never sniffed the Heisman. _

I'd really like to figure out who the teams ahead of the Jets will likely pick so we can better forecast the player the Jets will get to choose from at #6. Thank God this isn't like the Gholston draft with a clear top 5 + Gholston. Here are the top 5 teams with (perceived) needs:
CLE - - QB, C/G SF - QB, OL, OLB Chi - QB, DB, OL Jax - OL, DT, S Tenn - CB, WR
I'm not sure who will be going where, but I'd bet dollars to donuts at least two teams (out of Cle, SF, Chi) pick a QB. Probably Trubisky and Kizer. I Myles Garret to go in the top 3 to the team that does not take a QB. Down to Jax and Tenn. I can not imagine Jax not taking Allen. After Garrett, he is probably the best player in the draft and is most likely the surest pick (most likely to live up to potential) in the draft. Tennessee is in a tough spot. They would love to go with a CB, but to take one at 5 is a reach. They are OK at FS, but Malik Hooker may be too good to pass up. They will also be tempted to take Derek Barnett, what better way to bolster your pass D than with an edge rusher, but they've got Derrick Morgan and Orakpo. When push comes to shove the Titans will try to move the pick to trade down. IF they can't get value for the pick, I fully expect them to take the CB Marlon Humphrey, or reach for WR Mike Williams to give Mariota a decent target at WR.
So, in my forecast, when the Jets pick at 6 Trubitsky, Kizer, Garrett, Allen, and Humpphrey/Williams will be off the board. It certainly seems like that based on the needs of the teams ahead of the Jets and the players available, the only one player the Jets would really desire -- Garrett -- will be off the table when the Jets pick at 6. However, based on the Jets needs, I would be greatly disappointed if they did not trade back to get an additional pick. The value in this draft is from the middle of the first round through the middle of the third.
