I think it's a definite sign that Bowles wants an offense with more of an emphasis on running the ball. This is smart given the likely QB scenario of the team next year.

I don't always like pointing to team stats ranking as a great indicator of a coordinators performance, but yeah, his track record isn't good.
In his Bills tenure the offense ranked 7th, 24th, 23rd and 30th. For yards it was 25th, 28, 30 and 30. Even if you have piss poor talent, that's ugly.
I really really want to give Bowles the benefit of the doubt, but this wouldn't be a hire that made me feel good about things. I'd rather try catching lightning in a bottle with a Young position coach then a retread of this caliber.

Our coaching staff would be blacker than the night itself.
What happened to diversity?
Joe Danna was our one token white guy outside of Chan and we canned his ass.

Legit question. Let's say this guy gets the job. Has an NFL team ever had black coaches at the HC, OC and DC at the same time? I don't know if it would be a first, wouldn't surprise me though if it was. Never happened before and it aint about to start now.

This guy may be interviewing for the vacant RB coach position and not for the OC position. It makes more sense. The Jets have become so secretive with the media, we didn't even know that the last 2 hires were interviewing.

How much worse could an all black staff be considering the success of the mostly white or all white assistants have had over the last 48 years?

I know nothing about this candidate, but nothing in his background inspires confidence. I've been a Bowles supporter, but this is not a good sign.

That actually makes more sense.....even though it makes no sense cause it seems like he sucked at that too

Not surprising to see that the Jets OC job isn't highly coveted. But you would think that since the Jets have known since the beginng of the season that Gailey was leaving, that they would have had some candidates lined up. I'm not sure it even really matters who the OC will be next year, seems likely to be a one and done type of job right now.

Go into the college ranks if you have to. At the end of the day, is the OC position for an NFL franchise. You may not be able to grab Mike McCoy, but at least interview someone with experience running an offense or developing QBs.

Has no one ever seen someone get an interview as a favor?
