It's very easy to keep shit quiet when calls are placed, but not returned. Let's face it, we got NOTHING. No one wants to come here and dammit, I don't blame them one bit. So much sand. Do explain?

It actually makes probably the most sense too. It's been rumored they want a run first OC. Check that box. He has worked with Hackenberg and gotten the best out of him that anyone has. Check that box. He's guided an offense in Houston with Big arm, low accuracy QBs. So even if they bring in Glennon, nothing as far as "fit" would change. It's not a splashy name, but it actually makes sense to me. I don't think Godsey has worked with Hack. The story was he was familiar with him as a prospect, and encouraged O'Brien to recruit Hack to Penn State. From memory, Godsey was never on the PSU staff. Anyway, I still think he could be a solid hire. Apparently likes our young QB prospect, has knowledge of the O'Brien system that so suited Hack in college, and has good experience both as an OC and as a coach at a number of positions including QB, RB and TE. You are correct. Good catch. Not sure why I thought that.

Not woe is us... fucking ANGER. You think this is fun??? It's not fun right now, no. Its not the opposite of fun either. It's sports. They are frustrating. I feel zero anger right now about it. I'll get angry about individual games, but no, I don't feel anger about where the Jets are.

Not woe is us... fucking ANGER. You think this is fun??? A couple of real good drafts, and 3 or four good free agent signings and this could turn around fast. This is a deep draft in alot of areas of need. If we play our cards right, we'll be happy again.

All those guys flashed some good potential this year. It;s not all gloom and doom. QB is the big problem that we have to solve one way or another. If Petty or Hackenburg aren't the answers, then we have to get it right in 2018. If we can get our hands on Antonio Garcia in this draft, a new QB will be playing behind a pretty good oline.

And it makes sense, but seriously fuck this team and organization right now. I have zero faith that they will turn it around any time soon, so I'll be enjoying a Jet-free life in the meantime.

I'd be optimistic if they were able to bring in Morton as OC and Godsey at the QB coach.

I'd be optimistic if they were able to bring in Morton as OC and Godsey at the QB coach. That would be very nice indeed. I was actually hoping for Godsey at QB coach and Brian Daboll as OC, but that looks unlikely. Morton and Godsey would be a good alternative. If Godsey gets the OC job, I think he may try to bring Texans offensive assistant Pat O'Hara - who helped Godsey with the QBs - with him as his QB coach.

That's why I think one of the objectives for Maccagnan should be to trade down this year. Whether we draft at 6....10...or 13....I think we'll get a guy who can compete at some position other than QB (think RB, CB, etc.). But accumulating a 2nd Round pick in 2018 by trading down this year would give the Jets some ammo next season. I'd also trade Sheldon for a 2018 pick....NOT a 2017 pick. If he could be dealt for a 3rd or 4th this year I think we could instead get a 2nd or 3rd NEXT year. Going into the 2018 draft with a 1st, 2nd, 2nd and 2nd would give the Jets some serious ammo to move around for a QB in that Draft.
