I don't think Petty is dogshit even if you do. But it is a fact that he has as strong of an arm, is more accurate, has a quicker release, is more athletic, is more mobile, is tougher and is more of a leader. He's a better pure QB. If he's dogshit, then what does that make Hack? Dogshit that's been eaten by another dog then shat out again? _ Sorry but Petty's arm isn't nearly as good as you think. Never has been. Can't throw it deep without putting a ton of air under it, when he tries to put zip on the ball he misses his target by a mile, and as far as being a leader, not sure you can say anything definitive based on what we have seen. He has a rocket for an arm. Always has. He missed a bunch of wide open deep throws --overthrows--this year because he didn't put ENOUGH air under the throws. And it is incontrovertible that he is much more accurate with a quicker release. And his leadership qualities are generally regarded as massive and one of his biggest strengths. No reason to make up stuff because you hate him. _

Famed Jets hater Michael Lombardi (whose son is now on the Jets staff) is reporting some positive stuff about Hackenberg (hey, it's slow around here at this time of year): where?

Doesn't that describe your love for Petty? Petty is dogshit, yet no "hate" for him? I don't think Petty is dogshit even if you do. But it is a fact that he has as strong of an arm, is more accurate, has a quicker release, is more athletic, is more mobile, is tougher and is more of a leader. He's a better pure QB. If he's dogshit, then what does that make Hack? Dogshit that's been eaten by another dog then shat out again? _ Not to pile on, and quite frankly I don't care to defend Hackenberg all that much because I don't think he's going to be good, but you lose all credibility when you say Petty has "as strong of an arm". Petty is nowhere close to Hack in that category. Petty is not clearly a better leader or more tough either. That's you trying to tip the scales by saying it's "clear" Petty is better in areas that are nearly impossible to place a tangible value on. What makes Petty tougher? He got sacked a whopping 41 times in 2 years as a starter. That's 3 less times than Hackenberg's Junior season alone. Hackenberg never missed a game. Petty is tougher though. What makes him a better leader? Hackenberg stayed committed to a school that got absolutely(and rightfully) hammered by NCAA sanctions. He stayed at that school after his coach bolted the first chance he got, and stayed to play for a coach who's system he did not fit at all. Sounds like a decent leader to me. Never mind the accounts of his high work ethic and overall good guy. But he's not the leader Petty is simply because you want that to be the truth. Your narrative about Petty is weak. He's dogshit. Everyone knows it. Just because Hackenberg likely is too, doesn't change who Petty is. Again, I don't think Hackenberg is going to pan out, but it's ridiculous some of the things said about him by some fans.

Again, I don't think Hackenberg is going to pan out, but it's ridiculous some of the things said about him by some fans. You still doing this? Petty had the best arm in camp last year. Better than Geno, better than Hack. Obviously better than Fitz. Petty got his back broken and played two weeks later. Hack is known for turtling in the face of a pass rush. Petty is 10x tougher than Hack. Have you read anything about Petty's toughness? He's a linebacker disguised as a QB. He is always looking downfield even with the pressure in his face. Did you see him even flinch when he got absolutely destroyed and cut in half by Suh and Ware? Hack wilts under pressure. And have you read anything about Petty's natural leadership qualities? This isn't me wanting something to be true- I don't know either of these guys. It's what everyone has said about him. He's a leader. Hack looks like a rosy cheeked kid. No one I know says he's a leader. Even his quotes the other day spoke of milquetoast. Please stop. Are you being serious or just fucking with me? _

Go read about him getting his back broken at Baylor.
Couldn't keep him off the field.
The dude is as tough as they come.

our qb of the future is still in college you delusional herps. get it alreaty I'm not saying otherwise. I love Falk and Darnold looks like the real deal. Allen could be great and if Rosen wasn't such a doosh he could also be a stud. Rudolph could be good too. McGagnan fucked up drafting Hack. A positive puff piece in May doesn't change that. Dudes need to shit on Petty because they think it somehow bolsters their hope that Hack is good. He's not. Petty may not be the answer but he's better than Hack. 2018 is the year is the QB. _

Famed Jets hater Michael Lombardi (whose son is now on the Jets staff) is reporting some positive stuff about Hackenberg (hey, it's slow around here at this time of year): What is he reporting? Is he showing more accuracy and better footwork in the offseason? What this based on? The Jets haven't had a practice since last December. Is this more pablum about how Hack says he feels he's improving? Has more confidence? Whilst wearing shirts and shells? Honestly, what the fuck had happened since last year where he never took one fucking snap until now that is "positive"? I may be a dick but I'm not an idiot. There is NOTHING that has transpired in the past week or month or 4 months that could be deemed as truly positive with respect to Hacks ability to play competently as an NFL QB. _ And you are acting like quite a dick. There is literally nothing going on with the team right now and one of the QB coaches has some good feedback. It's not much, but what the fuck else are we going to talk about?

So now I'm stupid, idiotic, ignorant and a dick? Because we drafted a QB in the SECOND FUCKING ROUND and he could not take ONE FUCKING SNAP this year? He was an awful reach and then we're all supposed to be happy that they "stuck to the plan" by red shirting him? He was a fucking SECOND ROUND DRAFT PICK! Who red shirts a second round draft pick? Colleges red shirt 17-18 year old kids. The guy was so fragile he couldn't take one fucking snap? And I'm a dick for pointing that out? Geezuz fuck. _
