I can't imagine Hack doesn't get the gig. You have to play him at some point. What's the difference at this point? Even if he is epically bad, so what? You are drafting your future QB next year anyway. Bowles is going with the "Best chance to win" and sadly that is McCown. Mac won't let him. Not now.

The "good" news is there's nothing in McCown's track record that suggests he'll be able to stay healthy. And at that point, there is no reason whatsoever to leave Hack on the shelf. Let's see what the kid has, for better or worse.

Disagree. McCown will be the starter and yet again I don't think Hack takes a snap unless there are injuries. I can't imagine Hack doesn't get the gig. You have to play him at some point. What's the difference at this point? Even if he is epically bad, so what? You are drafting your future QB next year anyway. I think McCown will start up until week 4-6. The Jets are probably hoping McCown can buy Hack sometime. That way he can get actual valuable reps in practice before being thrown to the wolves.

Well we do play the browns this year. So at the very least, they would have 1 win if we go O-fer. Niners may be just as bad though.

The 2017 New York Jets...
Stronger... Faster... Tankier You left out greener which we definitely are after cutting all of these vets. They were "greener" last year. They have taken it a step beyond that now.

That's my biggest fear. My only hope is Woody pulls off another knee jerk reaction after the season and sends these two losers packing. He's already done it several times where he assured a coach they were coming back and then shitcanned them, so there is precedent.....and at least a little hope for us fans. Things would have to go really off the rails for them to not come back. Not just losses but complete anarchy in the locker room. So, a repeat of last year.

Any word on whether Decker &/or his agent may have requested release or trade? WHy would a veteran want to stick around with the direction of the team right now.
