We have to trade up for the Chosen One, Jameis Winston. He will bring this organization back to respectability.
Laser accurate, cannon arm, tough, intangibles, smart on and off the field (4.0 GPA at FSU, got in to Stanford on an academic scholarship), just to name a few positive attributes. The only thing you can ding him on is his release point, and there is video evidence of him improving that significantly over the last few months at QB camp.
He is the closest to a sure thing that there is in this draft.

I'm not trading Harvin for him, you guys are blowing Harvin's contract out of proportion....

The Jets have an easy path layed out in front of them to turn what was one of the worst WR corps in the league less than a year ago into one of the better units in the league if they team up someone like Cooper, Parker or White with Decker, Harvin and Kerley.

I didn't read anything in this god damned thread, but I'm going on record to say that there's no chance we're TRADING for Glennon. The new brass is not going to spend draft picks on a washout developmental QB. We've already got one, his names Geno. Let's try to salvage one trainwreck at a time.

Glennon is a better prospect than any QB you will get late in the draft. With Geno and Glennon, you give yourself two QBs with physical skills tat need better coaching on the mental side of the game. You only need to hit on one out of the two to become a better than average QB and you could be set at the position for a decade of more. I think this administration will least inquire about the cost and if it's a fifth or a sixth, may pull the trigger. Assuming marriotta and Winston are gone, given his age, physical skills, and a little bit of success at the NFL level, who is a better prospect that might be available than Glennon?

yeah this qb class is pretty miserable, so if theres no prospect Big Mac loves, might as well give someone like Glennon a try

Makes no sense to house Geno and Glennon as a one and a two. They're the same thing. What are you selling the fans and players? ..hey! We're throwing darts here! No, I can guarantee you that doesn't happen. We'll try to find a veteran to replace Vick probably. Could be anything from Hoyer to Firzpatrick. And we'll draft someone probably at some point to groom. There's no one in any NFL franchise that would take glennon over a mid round guy like Grayson.

Neither Hoyer nor Fitz is the long term answer - they are just a stop gap, which is what the jets had for most of the 40 or so years since Namath retired (I think Chad or Kenny O and maybe even Vinnie could have been more than a stop gap, but whether it was injuries or something else, it just didn't happen). At least with Geno and Glennon you have two shots at a long term answer. I'm not a college football fan, so I don't even know who Grayson is, but if he's lasting until the mid rounds, then none of the 32 teams think he's more than dart throw either. At least Geno and Glennon have shown some physical skills and have had some success at the NFL level. I don't know if Glennon will even be available, but if TB drafts Marriotta or Winston and is going to keep McNown, then there's a good chance he will be available. If the price is right, I'd take a chance.

I was high on Glennon coming out of the draft was hoping jets would of drafted him.. With everyone saying Gailey can pretty much make everyone he's coached look like a hall of famer I would be curious to see what he can do with Geno and especially Simms if he's still on the roster this year

We've got one 3rd year qb who's at a crossroads between relevancy and obscurity. You don't backend that with a SECOND 3rd year QB at the EXACT same cross roads. I don't care what you think Glennon is, those are the facts. He wasn't all world last year. Worse than Geno. No shit Hoyer and Fitz aren't long term answers, but Hot guy I'd like to blowation is doing the same thing and expecting different results. You need a vet on the team to stabilize shit if the boat takes on water. If Geno implodes and the fanbase and players look to you for leadership and your solution is to roll Geno 2.0 out there, you're gonna lose the city and the lockeroom. Think you need to wake up and shake those glennon boners off.

I don't know that Glennon is going to be great, but he's been in the league 2 years as has Geno and they've both outperformed a lot of QBs that went on to HOF careers and / or were SB QBs in their first two years. I don't know what either one of them is going to be and neither do you, but it the Jets aren't going anywhere with Hoyer or Fitz. Good thing you weren't the one passing judgment on Brees, Young, Simms, Moon, Fouts or Romo after their first two years because they were each worse than Geno and Glennon. So I submit that is you sir who are WRONG!!!!
