Or at least had the right scouts, spotting it for him. For what it's worth Terry Bradway is getting bad press and may have been an average GM but was strong on Richardson, Revis and Wilkerson from things I've read. He also was really adamant about drafting Russell Wilson... The fella getting ready to play in another superbowl. See here.. www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000092313/article/russell-wilson-coveted-by-one-new-york-jets-executiveFormer New York Jets general manager Terry Bradway still oddly holds a senior personnel executive position in the team's front office. Track the rookie QBs: For the first time in league history, five rookie quarterbacks earned starting jobs. We're keeping track of their performances and progress on the field throughout the season. More ... During last year's draft season, Bradway's view on the incoming quarterback class was clear. He wanted Russell Wilson. Bradway talked about Wilson so much that the Wisconsin product was called "Russell Bradway" inside the Jets' building, defensive coordinator Mike Pettine told The Star-Ledger. The Seattle Seahawks ended up drafting Wilson 75th overall, just two spots before the Jets chose Demario Davis. It's fair to wonder if the Jets would have added Wilson to the Mark Sanchez-Tim Tebow stew if the Seahawks didn't jump on him. "We knew about him and liked him," Pettine said. "He's proving he's a complete quarterback." The story reminds us of the 2009 draft. As pointed out by ESPN.com's Mike Sando, the Seahawks were rumored to be interested in Sanchez at the time with the No. 4 overall pick, but they chose Aaron Curry instead. Curry was a bust, and yet most Seahawks fans probably are glad their team took him over Sanchez. The Wilson-Sanchez matchup Sunday just adds another layer to reunion weekend. Jets fans know that once you take a quarterback that high, you are going to roll with him for a long time. Year one Idzik kept the old scout team in place, by year two he had fired most and brought in his own (while retaining Bradway). Jets scouting has never been great but you could see the obvious drop off in the draft from Idzik's first year to his second. Bradway is only one guy.

Woody is like a teenage girl easily impressed with a smoother talker, Herm Edwards and Rex Ryan left her breathless. What exactly is wrong with Maccagnan? He and Kirchner have been my Top 2 choices from the start. Personally, I like Mueller from the Iggles as he seems to have the broadest experience. Seems he's not a contender though. MacCagnan sounds like Casserly's preference...let's hope he is a good choice, if hired.

He and Kirchner have been my Top 2 choices from the start. Good Question. I think it's really hard to know who the hell is pulling the levers in the draft room and who is responsible for earthing "finds" or "sleepers". For instance, two weeks ago Charlie Casserly was identified as the man who made the decision of drafting Mario Williams over Reggie Bush. Then it was revealed in the press that it wasn't Casserly's call. The Texans have had some great picks (JJ Watts, Brian Cushing) but overall it seems underwelming to me. Of the six candidates so far, I like Kuharich or Kircher. Who knows if Kircher played a significant role in the impressive track record Seattle draft room but he has a relationship with Quinn, if Quinn get hired. Kuharich purportedly played a significant role in Kansas city where they drafted well for an extended period. His year spent advising Ray Farmer in Cleveland is ambiguous but if Kyle Shanahan is a coaching candidate that might be interesting insight there.

Don't let facts get in the way of a good rant. There were a lot of scouts who liked Russel Wilson, you guys act like Bradway was this lone voice crying for Wilson and that Wilson was some obscure division 3 college QB that Bradway uncovered. The kid played at NC State and then transferred to Wisconsin and played in the Rose Bowl. If he wasn't 5'11" and was 6'3" he would have been a first round pick, consequently he fell to the third round.

Who's Woodrow? Just a little play on Robert Wood Johnson IV, it's what I call him when he is in more of a business mode.

Who's Woodrow? Probably referring to Woodrow Johnson current owner of the New York Titans/Jets ... or possibly Woodrow Wilson, 28th US president recently deceased (1924). Yes. I think the insiders called the President, Willie.

So.... the consensus is that if you don't draft a pro bowl player more than once in 5 years then you suck? BTW, JJ Watt happens to be one of the best players in the NFL so that's a pretty good selection. Tell me how many of their drafted players in 5 years are still on the team making significant contributions. I'd be more interested in that statistic because John Idiotzik cut half of his 2014 draft class in their rookie season which would be something to be concerned about. This The Texans may have only drafted one pro-bowler (who happens to be the best overall player in football) over the last 5 years, but they've also drafted some key contributors. DeAndre Hopkins, D.J. Swearinger, Whitney Mercilus, Brooks Reed, Kareem Jackson, Ben Tate, Garrett Graham, etc. They also came up with one of the biggest UDFA steals of the last 5 or so years in Arian Foster. Besides, when the hell was the last time the Jets drafted a pro-bowler? Revis? That was almost a fucking decade ago. Wilk was an all pro, which is better

I'm fucking tired of these cocksucking dickheads like womanish and Semeni trolling our gullible fanbase for page clicks... Who gives a fuck about the Pro Bowl? The Texans have accumulated a lot of talent over the past 5 years. Maybe if the team had a backbone they wouldn't have layed down to NE in the playoffs 2 years in a row. That's on coaching not the FO. The Texans were good enough to win and we wouldn't be debating how many pro bowlers this guy brought to Houston.... I fuckin hate teams that lay down to them and their entire staffs should be fired. If you're gonna get beat by them, then you at least try to take out their weapons and make your presence felt. This is such bullshit
