Cause that's what I would have done if in Mac's shoes.

If I am investing a pick in this kid I sit him the year. Achilles injuries can be easily aggravated. Better to be conservative in his case. I also doubt that he'll be ready to start the season, but if it's a partial tear he'll definitely be fine to play part of the season. I should have clarified. Basically if he got surgery done even if it was partial then they basically cut the Achilles and repair it like a total. Therefore his timetable is likely to be the same and a smart team would take it slow just as they would a full year (because that is basically what it is). For athletes surgery is always the best option for any sort of Achilles tendon tear. My conservative nature regarding the injuries is anechoic from seeing patients rush back and hurt themselves. Very rarely is it a rupture but sometimes they compensate and injure other areas.

Take it for what its worth, really can't see him playing this coming season coming off an achilles tear, but what do I know. It's must have only been a partial tear which would be huge. Hopefully we can still grab him with our 3rd comp pick. If I am investing a pick in this kid I sit him the year. Achilles injuries can be easily aggravated. Better to be conservative in his case.

You would sign Geno plus another FA QB? I guess you would get rid of Petty at that point? I don't see them tossing Hack aside at this point. Do you consider Glennon or Taylor a free agent type to go after when signing Geno or are you thinking more along the lines of Shaun Hill type guy? The money is a big factor but I agree with you about not keeping Geno AND Petty AND Hack. I still think it would be too early to give up on Petty but I still see Petty and Hack in the same light (two guys who are developmental, unknowns who are not ready to be a QB1 yet.). I honestly don't know what to do with this QB situation. A Tyrod Taylor or Glennon seem like high-end backups, sorta like Geno. They are guys who after several years still have done enough that people point to them as clear starters. I guess we could have an open competition between Geno and Glennon but we'd likely only keep one of Hack or Petty after that. I think Geno becomes more necessary if the Jets did something like make a big splash with a premiere, but injury-prone QB like Romo. My bottom line is that if the Jets are going to say goodbye to both Fitz and Geno, and they desire to keep both Petty and Hack, then they'll not only need a veteran who they are sure can be a starter (even if he's not a good starter) but they'll need a guy with little/no frequent injury history. Question - Would you trade Sheldon Richardson and something like two 2nd round draft picks (2017, 2018) for Tony Romo? Fuck no. Romo will get released probably. Cap charge is huge and he his injury prone so I am not giving any picks for that.

I think Leonard is tailor made for the 3-4 so not sure what that is all about. Lee also fits a 3-4 but definitely needs a Harris or Scott type to eat up there blockers.

Isn't that illegal since he would be getting a promotion. At least that's how I thought it worked. Apparently only applies to the head coach spot. A loophole that should be fixed if you ask me. Since climbing the ladder hopefully leads to the main gig

I really hope we hire Greg Olson the former OC from the Jags. He got Bortles to play well until he decided to stop putting in the work. Fixed the exact same issue Hack had (mechanics/accuracy). Also made Josh fuckin Freeman into a probowl level QB while he was with the Bucs. Wound not mind McCoy either.

My bad. I was typing too quick. I think in my head I meant much last than 6 overall. Since that seems to be the biggest issue when anyone mentions taking cook or fournette at 6 I scream offensive lineman every year and even I don't think there is one worthy of 6 overall. Check out that Garcia kid, he's the real deal and I can see him flying up the boards come draft time. Hopefully he hangs around for us in the high second. But yea such a weak class that if like you said he has upside he's gonna be gone in the late first

Lamp is another late round guy. Lamp is not a late round guy, he'll easily be gone by the second. Another name to look at is Antonio Garcia from Troy.....a true LT that I'll guarantee goes in the first. My bad. I was typing too quick. I think in my head I meant much last than 6 overall. Since that seems to be the biggest issue when anyone mentions taking cook or fournette at 6

No comment on the 3 and 3 approach to this game? Did you even watch? Haven't seen your season predictions for a while, how's that "I wanna be Gus Johnson" thing working out for you? Cam Robinson*, OT, Alabama. Height: 6-6. ... Mike McGlinchey*, OT, Notre Dame. Height: 6-7. ... Quenton Nelson*, G, Notre Dame Ryan Ramcyzk*, OT, Wisconsin. Height: 6-6. ... Taylor Moton, G/OT, Western Michigan Ethan Pocic, G/C, LSU Dion Dawkins, OT, Temple. Height: 6-5. ... Roderick Johnson*, OT, Florida State. Height: 6-7. ... Julie'n Davenport, OT, Bucknell. ... David Sharpe*, OT, Florida. ... Forrest Lamp, OT, Western Kentucky Oh, and blow me. Lol, Ok. You can read lists. And you can type. That's about as much as we can deduce from you copying and pasting this in a post. Someone else wanna chime in, so i don't sound like a complete asshole? Done. You're welcome. But you're still a complete asshole...

Ok Gus Johnson, name the prospects. McGlinchey is staying in school. Robinson is a probably an RT and should be taken in the 20s. Oh and he has character concerns. Ramcyzk has a pretty bad hip injury and even before that was a bit a project at LT. Probably would take him in the mid-late first depending on his injury. He's a little bit light and can get pushed around. Roderick Johnson is a project pick that we could take but definitely not someone to grab at #6. Lamp is another late round guy. People are screaming OL and I get it. I was them same jackass who actually wanted to draft Marcus McNeil in addition to Brick and Mangold in 2006 (would have actually made our line INSANE in retrospect, and would have been nicer than the Kellen Clemens shit show). But this year there is not a single blue chip LT prospect worthy of a top 10 let alone top 5 selection. That is what Paradis is talking about. Just saying draft OL won't make the blue chip players show up. If McGlinchey was coming out we could have the conversation, and in fact I might want him over the RBs (OL to me are what TEs are to Paradis). If not though I want Fournette/Cook assuming Myles Garrett doesn't fall.
