Did they say Petty has never played in the rain? Yikes.

If the shooter stayed in his car, and McKnight doesn't have a gun pulled on him, wouldn't a better option be to drive away rather than "stand your ground" and kill someone? There was an accident. You are suggesting he commit a crime by leaving the scene of an accident!?!?! What is wrong with you!?!? Shit. Does this make me an accomplice?

Reasonably speaking, yes, but that may not be the law in Louisiana. Some states had (or may still have) stand your ground laws that permit you to kill even if you could reasonably run away. I'm not even talking wise. Just saying how fucked up does the shooter have to be to decide "I'm gonna shoot this guy instead of just getting the hell out of here."

I agree with Stokes. The evidence does not line up with the "eye witnesses" statements. The shooter was inside the car not standing over him. I sure hope there is a security camera somewhere that caught at least part of this. The next 5 to 7 days or so should provide some real good information. Crime scene reenactment, autopsy report and toxicology. Even if the shooter stayed in his car the entire time, that may not justify his decision to shoot McKnight. We don't know all the facts and I don't know what the law is in Louisiana with respect to self defense. If the shooter stayed in his car, and McKnight doesn't have a gun pulled on him, wouldn't a better option be to drive away rather than "stand your ground" and kill someone?

This doesn't make much sense. Nothing is forcing him to play, he can retire whenever he damn well pleases.

Even if the CS/FO only see Petty's ceiling as backup, isn't it better to have a backup with some actual playing time under his belt. Especially if you're starter will most likely be a young player at some point. Petty should play whether they see him as the future starter or not.

There is no doubt that the guys love Fitz. And if youre a veteran you dont like the idea of declaring the season over and playing the young guys. Thats it right there... if you're Brandon Marshall or other vets playing for contracts, do you like the idea of a rookie QB? Of course not. If you're Mangold, knowing the end of the line is coming at some point, do you play through injuries when the season is essentially done? The vets like Fitz. They know what Fitz is, for better or worse. These guys dont want to gamble on a rookie. Screw the vets and what they want. If they were so worried about it, they shouldn't have played like shit and lost the season so early.

Im done with Bowles. Good news is we lose for sure with Fitz and it dont hurt our draft. Maybe that's the "behind the scenes" thinking. Start Fitz, lose as much as possible, get a better draft pick.

It makes zero sense to play Shitz at this point. Hell, I'd say practice reps should be going to Petty as #1 and Hack as #2. Move closer to it being just the two of them on gameday. There is absolutely nothing to lose now. Does Macc have any say in this? He needs to put his foot up Bowles' ass and tell him to bench this lame excuse for a qb.
