I let Fitz walk the guy was a victim of a easy schedule. With the Jets having a tougher schedule the real Fitz will show up and the Jets will be paying 15 million a year for a back up QB. Draft a QB find a QB off the scrap heap like RG3 and have a QB competition. The Jets are better off using the money to keep Harrison. The fans wanted to spend QB money on Revis now everyone should learn why Idzik traded Revis away so you have Money to resign players like Wilkinson, Harrison, and have wiggle room to sign Fitzpatrick. Right now its not looking good losing Harrison is a big deal, NTs are not easy to find a elite one. Sure you can sign a scrub like Terrance Knight but it isn't to the same level as snacks.

Hopefully we sign someone to take his spot. Im not in love with what we have on our roster. The Jets already have someone Marcus Williams out play both Revis and Cromartie. I understand he is not a household name but can't afford to fill every position with elite players this isn't baseball with no salary cap. Want to keep wilkinson maybe Harrison bring back Fitzpatrick got to cut somewhere. With Marcus Williams playing well you can allocate money elsewhere.

They believe he is the guy or they wouldn't have traded up. Still until that becomes reality you still have to pull the trigger on a QB. The Jets thought Geno and Clemens were potential franchise QBS and we all saw how that turned out.

Like this move not only is he a decent KR you can line him up on outside as a vertical threat. while he isnt a everydown player in certain packages would make a nice vertical threat something the Jets lack.

I would take a chance on him providing the Jets have a back up plan. Like I said don't want Fitz back he benefited from a easy schedule it's a optical illusion people on this board are clamoring on a guy who did the same thing in Buffalo had a great year and a half then sucked. The guy has a history of not finishing. He starts a year out great and as soon as the schedule gets hard he starts sucking. Next year people will be wishing the Jets never resigned Fitz as soon as he gets manhandled by Seattle Denver next year is going a tougher schedule. The warning sign was him sucking in Buffalo. No I take a shot on Kapeer nick and bring in more then just him. I would even trade to move up and get a QB. The Jets had a great team last year and Fitz choked no thank you take my chances I want to make the playoffs not almost make it. Kaepernick actually played in the playoffs and a SB can't say that about Fitz. From what I'm reading Fitz wants more than 12 million a yr to play screw that.

Also best known for drafting Kyle Brady and passing on Warren Sapp. I knew at that point we were screwed.

Hearing the same excuse for over 40 years now. If this was best medicine the Jets would be a dynasty by now. Fact is when your team was playing hot and had a must win game which they should have easily won non of the season of almost making the playoffs matters. I remember under Parcells the Jets almost making it to the super bowl say it's a learning process that next year would be their year. That year came and Vinny was carted off the field. When you have the opportunity you take it because you don't know what will happen the next year. Next year Fitz or Marshall could blow their knee out the defense could lose half the starters to injury. In the NFL the future is now not next year.

What people are forgetting the Jets had a easy schedule this year. Next year the Jets will certainly have a harder schedule and Fitzpatrick will be exposed. I liked Fitzpatrick for what he was a patch. Today he showed he can't lead a team in crunch time when a defense is playing hard against him. Despite how bad the Jets played they got Fitzpatrick in position to win this game and he caved. Good QBS win games like this Fitz isn't good enough so it's time to move on. I'm sick of this happening year in and out. If the Jets resign him we will be forced to deal with this for another 2 to 3 years. It's time to find a QB that can allow this team to win games like this. Whether it's Petty or something else. Brandon Marshall is 33 years old mangold fergusan are getting old got 1 more year with Mo Wilkerson the Jets can't afford to screw around hoping Fitz can do it next year the window is closing. Unfortunately this team will bring him back and probably miss the playoffs again next year. All because this franchise refuse to fix the QB position. It's easier to resign Fitz and hope for the best.

I agree do not resign fitzpatrick we will have the same thing next year almost make the playoffs. I don't want to waste another 3 years almost winning with Chadwick part 2

Tell that to Bowles who wants to sign him to a multi year deal. If this team ever wants to make the playoffs again it needs to find a real solution at QB. If Fitz comes back be ready for more seasons like this one where the Jets almost make the Playoffs. Its time for the Jets to go for a real QB lets Fitz walk. I don't care if the Jets have to trade the entire draft do get a QB. As bad as the Jets played they stayed in the game had the Jets had a decent QB they win the Game. People need to stop defending Fitz the guy needs to go and the Jets need to find a QB that can take them to the next level whether its Petty, free agency, trade or draft.

I off the Fitz band wagon give Petty the ball Fitz was a hold the fort guy to develop Petty he had a year to sit if he cant do it trade the house to get a QB. Unfortunately Bowels is in love with the Chad clone and we will be tortured for the next 5 years.

While the Jets didn't play well Fitzpatrick bone head ints cost the Jets the game. Unfortunately Bowles will sign him and we will be forced to have to live with this weak arm chad clone for years to come. Give Petty the ball or trade the entire draft and get the Jets a QB. I don't want this guy back or we will have more of the same.

This is normal the Jets can only cause themselves to lose. They look unprepared and are not playing with any passion. If the Jets blow this game I'm all for letting Fitz Ivory walk and go out and draft some young weapons and let Petty take a shot. This is unexcusable especially from a veteran like Fitz and Marshall to look this bad.
