If it's me, It's BPA between Peppers and Fournette at 5 (Teez if both are gone)
2nd Rd has to be an OT. Maybe a C in the late rounds. Gonna have to overpay for a good LT in FA and hope we strike gold with the draft. No more piece meal stuff...time has come to get the line fixed.

Frankly I don't think we can do much worse than this secondary. I've never seen a bunch consistently score as badly as this group does. Have to do better than this. and coached by a former DB whose specialty this is supposed to be. WHAT.A.JOKE Not two mention 2 all pro corners (and 1 probable HOFer who has had some combination of ridiculous regression and flat out indifference.)

The only expensive or underperforming veteran I bring back next year, if he's healthy, is Mangold. Revis, gone. Skrine, gone. Marshall, gone. Forte, gone. Fitz, gone. Geno, gone. Etc. I keep Mangold 1. because he's my favorite Jet (we should admit our biases) and 2. Because this O-line is so bad, I don't think we can rebuild it all in one offseason. Johnson is ok as a backup, and maybe future starter, but he's no Mangold yet. Decker can stay, but man he needs to be less fragile.... I'm fine with that group, but I'm swapping Mangold for Skrine (who is horrendous). It does not make any sense spending 9 million on an old Mangold next year when Johnson is a younger, cheaper option. Skrine sucks on the outside, but if we cut him and Revis (who should be the first one gone), we are only bringing back Marcus Williams, Roberts and Burris going into the offseason. We can't do that. Frankly I don't think we can do much worse than this secondary. I've never seen a bunch consistently score as badly as this group does. Have to do better than this.

Anyone and everyone from that group that can be moved for a draft pick should be moved. Hell we invested a 5 in Marshall and got this much. If we can get that much for him now, so much the better. Much of that group will be long gone If and when this team gets to be comprehensive again, so by all means get what we can for them

The more I read and hear from really smarty football people the more I honestly wonder how much Bowles really is the issue and how much is just a combination of poor talent and very poor professionalism from veterans. I will not be upset if he's fired, but there are LOTS of smart football people out there, who to my knowledge have no reason to defend him, who speak extremely highly of him still Oh, I don't doubt it. Issue is that this bunch has clearly quit on him. This team needs the finish line in the worst way for a number of reasons, another being the o line is going to get someone else killed up in Foxborough. If we're truly going to change up the mix and jettison the vets, sure I won't fuss too much if he stays. But the part where he needs to evolve is still an issue regardless of that decision. Clock management and in game decision making is still very much a work in progress issue with this guy

I think I officially want to change my vote. Bowles is not evolving at all. He makes the same lame mistakes repeatedly and just stands there with that "lost toddler in the mall" look on his face. Enough. Move on.

Hopefully with the understanding that we need a long term vision, not a quick fix. There are no quick fixes for this team. Keep whatever is worth keeping and toss the shit out. Completely agreed. I can only hope Macc can convince woody of that. As Hollywood said, this team is at least 2 solid draft/FA classes away, probably 3. I don't even know if Macc has that much rope.

If it wasn't such a shitty year for OL, I'd be on board. Unfortunately, there might only be one OL who carries a 1st round grade. I haven't looked at what is going to be available this year. Mac is going to get one more draft class. He better kill it. Hopefully with the understanding that we need a long term vision, not a quick fix.

Yep...will have to do it through FA along with getting lucky in the draft a few times. This line has to be rebooted though. I don't care who the qb is, this line is going to get somebody (else) killed. Poor Bryce.

I think the real question at this point is who stays? You have to reboot the entire O-line and Secondary as much as is possible (Revis probably cut if he doesn't retire...at the bare minimum he goes to S). Cut Folk. I could be talked into bringing back Pryor but holy ****, he has to go back to 0 and re-learn the fundamentals. On offense, Bring Back Marshall, Decker, Forte, Peake and Marshall.

I love and hate that picture at the same time. It fits so well and it feels like it won't ever NOT apply to this franchise. And I'm not usually the woe is me SOJ type.
I'm back to the familiar point where I'm going to dread Sundays this fall.

Damn, I thought we finally had a coach that got it. I've soured on Bowles really quickly. I like the old school mentality but can we have a smart in-game HC just once? And going back to Fitz after all of this is just indefensible. The saddest part of it all is nothing will happen. I'm getting too old for this crap.

I have it DVR'ed and will watch today. The comments about poor TE play are troubling. I was hoping Amaro would come out with a chip on his shoulder in his 3rd season with the team, after sitting last year with his injury. Same. Don't mean to ruin the tape for you but Sudfeld was especially bad. There is no reason to hang onto the guy right now. Hopefully someone cuts a decent TE in the next 10 days. I'm tempted to say any TE off the street could come in and be a starter right now. This group is pathetic.
