Cousins, easily. I'd still prefer the draft route (ideally trading into the Browns 4), but if it takes throwing money at Cousins, fine. We need a QB and Cousins is better than we've had in quite some time.

Those jerkoffs will be wearing "Philadelphia Eagles 2017 Super Bowl Champions" t-shirts for the next 50 years. I swear I think some of them STILL rock the the Phillies Championship t-shirts from 2008...they've won what? 2 in 150 years hahaha...they'll sleep in them, won't take them off. Such a sad place. If one of my teams ever win anything, I'm definitely doing the same. Can't rip them for that.

Intrigued by Lauletta, the U of R QB. Nothing earth shattering, but some very strong throws from this kid. If nothing else, could be a day 3 QB worth watching if we go elsewhere in the top few rounds.
Overall, not at all wowed by Mayfield, although I'm still bullish on his prospects. Allen impressed more than I figured he would, but I'm still lukewarm on him. If Mac doesn't get Cousins (And I still expect he'll pursue), I'm still going to be very irritated if we don't get one of the top 3 QBs.

I guess I'm in the minority. I wouldn't mind it at all. We'd just better prioritize the OL and RB. And now thanks to the mad nutter, we need a WR.

Reports are out today that the Chiefs willing to part ways with QB Alex Smith. Hard pass. I'd rather just keep McCown and draft a project.

Wouldn't be surprised if the Giants go OL at the 2 spot. Boy would that shake things up. If the giants are taking an OL in the first round, they're trading down from that number 2 pick to a team in desperate need of QB and taking multiple 1st round picks. They'd be morons to pick OL at 2 and they're not a dumb organization. Look what the bears had to give up last year just to move up one single spot. Same for the rg3 trade. You can be taken advantage of if you need a QB and want to move up.Esp Especially if there are multiple teams. If the Giants decide they want Nelson, for example and put #2 on the market, at least half a dozen teams will be inquiring. They'd get quite a haul for it in all likelihood.

They’re either signing Cousins or re-signing McCown and taking a QB in Round 1, period. I refuse to believe that Macc and Bowles are so goddamn stupid that they don’t realize they have to do whatever it takes to get a QB this offseason. Hell, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Johnson & Johnson made that abundantly clear before signing them to an extension. It’s going to happen. Hack possibly sticking around as the #3 QB on the roster doesn’t change that. This. There's no excuse whatsoever for anything other than this scenario right here. I'll add Teddy and a drafted QB scenario simply because it's my ideal. But no matter, they need to take a QB. I'm giving Mac the benefit of the doubt that he understands this. If he doesn't, he's getting fired sooner than later anyway.

Aside from the Kirk Cousins talk - how bad was Eli this year? Does anyone think he's really done? Personally I could see Elway making a big push for Eli in DEN, with that still-great defense and a top pick to build out the O. I actually see him going full out for cousins. They don't have a ton of cap space but they have enough to bring in Cousins and make a run next year. After the Lynch fiasco, it's going to be tough to sell playing another kid on what is otherwise a win now team.

Yes, i know. Orr was saying jets would let him go. Why would they? I’m a big Morton fan at this point. Aside from our over-achieving win loss record, the team put up plenty of yards, points and touchdowns this year - especially given the outright lack of top talent at any O skill position. The bad Petty games skew things but the Jets were basically the 20th most effective offense this season. Given where this ragamuffin squad was in OTAs that’s a minor miracle. Agree he has done a great job obviously. He will (or has) requested a release to coach under Gruden (his mentor) in Oakland. I suppose jets could be hardline about it but I'd doubt it.

Widely reported that coach Morton will take the OC job in Oakland if Jon Gruden accepts the job out there. So who've you got as the new OC? Morton is under contract. NFL rules would not allow him to break that contract just to make a lateral move to another OC position. Yes, i know. Orr was saying jets would let him go.

No more excuses is right. It's time to fix the QB hole we've been staring at for years. Either sign Cousins or draft Baker Mayfield.

Pretty sure we are Actually picking 6...and if we get Mayfield, I couldn’t care less who we beat this year!
