Until they expand the playoffs it's a mute point. I wish they would expand to 8 teams because then you will get a legitimate winner. Yup. Although I think either Bama or Clemson will be a legitimate champ this season. But it sure would have been fun to watch W Michigan, Penn State and USC in an 8 team field. 100%... there should be a way for teams like W. Michigan to work their way into the finals through the herd during playoffs. btw -- wtf was this?

Honestly? Yes... I think Florida is just better in the positional battles. But if they get into a funk.... your boy CJ could end up clamping down on the scoreboard. I'm thankful UF's offense was watcheable this year, but there were still stretches of narcolepsy. I think you'll be surprised at how close the positional matchups are, outside of Iowa's WRs. Iowa has a future NFL TE, probably 3(at least) NFL OL, an NFL DT, one of the best MLB and CB in college football. Iowa is down to 3 healthy CBs(literally) and their #4 CB will be starting Opposite King. That plus suspect safeties could be the place to exploit Iowa. I'll be interested how Iowa is able/not able to run the ball. Bye the end of the game, both Daniels and Wadley could have 1K on the year. Wadley is the difference maker. He is so small, but he makes people look silly. His shiftiness and lateral movement are NFL level. Iowa doesn't generally play well in bowl games, so I'm not confident because of that, but the talent gap isn't usually as great as people expect. They're only a year away from playing in the big 10 finals, no? I expect a stingy game from Iowa - though I'll admit I've seen very little of them this year. At some point, someone has to score though, and I like UF to win those 1-on-1s. If i'm on the CS, i'll gameplanning on annihilating the interior and getting after those backs. I'd have no concern leaving my DBs to take care of business with minimal support.

Anyone concerned about Lenny's history of injuries? Nothing major so far, but his running style lends it's self to taking some big hits. This may become more of an issue in the NFL when he is facing grown men every week. I'm concerned enough that he's definitely #2 in my books.

Indeed, Gator fan. Honestly, has there been a bad UF corner in the last decade?... You could draft all Gators on defense and probably be OK for you batting average. I with you. Tabor's got some smooth operator mojo going on, but i love Wilson natural/instinctive style of play. He's got a great hips too (no homo) Expecting a W in the Outback Bowl? Honestly? Yes... I think Florida is just better in the positional battles. But if they get into a funk.... your boy CJ could end up clamping down on the scoreboard. I'm thankful UF's offense was watcheable this year, but there were still stretches of narcolepsy.

I don't disagree but the Jets tried to coast on the OLine with Mangold and D'Brick for too long. It's now getting our QBs hurt. There is no more Damien Woody or Brandon Moore here. We've got a patchwork of guys who can't be trusted and none are much above average. Can we trust Clady to be back and healthy? What about Winters? Aren't Ijalana, Qvale and Wes Johnson simply hold-the-fort guys at best? Carpenter looks to be the only decent starter and he plays just about the least important spot on the OLine. An offensive line investment does two things....it improves the running game and protects the QB. It can help keep our defense off the field. I like Cook, I really do. And I won't complain if that's the pick. But it HAS to be a pick made after we've done some work on this OLine first. I will say the most impressive thing about Cook given the times we live in.....he played last night. When other guys are sitting out to protect their Draft stock, he suited up and played because he wanted to win a bowl game....and he did. Trust me, like Paradis said, if an elite LT was available, I'd be having a different point of view. But there does not appear to be one in the draft. Also, I don't think our line is as bad as many think. LG: Carpenter is an above average starter. C: Mangold is likely gone, but if we can resign Johnson, he is a decent starter. We can draft a replacement in the mid rounds. C isn't a position where you need to spend prime draft picks. RG: I'm assuming we will resign Winters, who is an above average player. RT: I'm maybe too optimistic, but I think Shell is going to pan out here and develop into an above average starter. We need a LT, but we will address that in free agency. Also, there are some LT prospects in the second and third round. Pretty much what i'm thinking, except I'd let Winters go. I have a feeling his asking price is not going to reflect his body of work. He's riding the best-season train. I look at this way LT: need a bandaide, Whitworth caliber for 2 years, draft the replacement to develop. LG: Carpenter C: Mangold will restructure and him and Johnson will get by RG: FA. Ron Leary caliber from DAL. RT: Shell.

I'd rather take one of the young RBs at 6 then trade down. We have a lot of young solid pieces on this team, what we lack are difference makers. We need to add elite talent to the team, especially on offense. Having Fournette or Cook on the team is going to help Petty/Hackenberg/? a ton. I don't disagree but the Jets tried to coast on the OLine with Mangold and D'Brick for too long. It's now getting our QBs hurt. There is no more Damien Woody or Brandon Moore here. When other guys are sitting out to protect their Draft stock, he suited up and played because he wanted to win a bowl game....and he did. In a year with no sure fire OTs, it would be a colossal mistake to pass on elite talent in Cleveland-like fashion, just to trade back and take an OT for the sake of taking an OT. There is some decent clay to mold, but it's more the 2nd-3rd round level stuff. We're gonna have go LT shopping in FA and possibly a top tier OG too (i'm not about over paying Winters). Not saying rely on FA, but we ain't gonna remodel our Oline in the first round this year IMO

No surprise, but Cook makes it official. Take my kids lord. Just put him in green and white. I'll actually cry on draft day. No bs

We haven't had a homegrown legit offensive skill player in god knows how long. This is so unbelievably god damn true. It's permeates all of our perspectives, attitudes about FAs we bring in, and the use of our draft picks. How much longer can a franchise go without drafting a playmaker??

Dalvin is pure porn to me. He's my fav RB prospect to come out since DMC, or maybe ever?
He's scheme versatile, he's an every down and distance player, and the most natural open field runner i've ever seen.

Yeah, he'll instantly help us just like Gurley made LA a winner. Fix the OLine first is my position. We can get a RB later. There are always a few guys out there. (ex. Gurley, Elliott this year, etc.) A tackle would be nice, but none of them are worth the 6th overall pick. I'll be pissed if we pass on an elite player because we reached for one. Pretty much the end of that debate. I too recognize the need and if ND's McGlinchey was coming out, then there'd be a discussion there - but i guess he's not? #DalvinAllDay

I think anyone who thinks that Lamar Jackson is a franchise QB at the next level is kidding themselves. Great athlete and college QB, but I wouldn't want him. I'd probably have Rosen, Darnold and Falk ranked ahead of him. At least. I'm still in the "lamar has it" department. I haven't seen enough of UL over the last stretch of games to properly assess what's been going wrong, but he definitely showed awareness, pocket presence and touch on his passes. The groceries are there.
