Step 1 Accomplished. Now we have to move up a couple of spots int he standings and get at least one series with home ice. They played like they wanted it tonight, now we get the creampuffs to finish out the schedule. |

They played like they wanted it tonight, now we get the creampuffs to finish out the schedule. These last two games were great. Team really showed some character. They were reeling after that tough series with the Caps. Rangers were closng fast. An epic collapse was in site and they played two of their best games of the season to get back on track. Beat some of the bottom feeders, give some of the guys who are banged up a chance to get healthy. And then lets get ready for the playoffs. |

All we need is a couple of our streaky guys to wake up and a hot goalie to ride. It's obviously Varly at this point and deservedly so. Islanders are the type of team you never want to meet in the playoffs. LGI!!! |

Last night's loss would have pissed me off a lot more a couple of weeks ago, but still this team needs to play better on a consistent basis if they are going to do anything in the playoffs. |

Stumbling in to the playoffs is not ideal. I don’t think they’ll be able to just flip the switch come playoff time.

Overall, I just don’t see how the isles can suddenly flip the switch and get back to early season play. Pitt in 6 unfortunately.

Sorokin was brilliant in the first two to keep them in the game. Played a solid 3rd, and now I am excited about the playoffs. Coming in to this one tonight, it was hard to be optimistic about the Isles chances, but playoffs are a new season.
