NJ Devils prospect Miles Wood will be starting on the 2nd line vs Canada in the World Juniors Championship. The games about to start right now on NHL Network. It sucks that our top prospect Steve Santini couldn't play because of his wrist not being full healed. He would have been on the top D Line and going against the best. Should be a great game though and we'll get a nice look at some players that we might draft: Connor McDavid 2015, Jack Eichel 2015, Austin Matthews 2016, and Noah Hanifin 2015.

Thank god dumb ass Deboer got fired. Hopefully they can package the likes of Jagr, Zidlicky, etc. before the deadline for some extra picks.

Patrik Elias got his 1,000 point. I'm so happy for him. He's my favorite Devil of all time. My friend had gold circle tickets so I got to skate with our Stanley Cup teams and meet him. I'm going to cry like a baby when he retires.

A'ight....Coming to your joint tonight. Anything worthwhile to keep an eye out for? Foodwise, or other?

I've heard good things about food though. Also there is a Dinosaur Bar-B-Que .1 mile away from the Prudential Center, and a nice bar called Hell's Kitchen Lounge 2 blocks away. I'll usually grab a few beers there before the game.

I go there before most Red Bulls games, but it's also within walking distance from the Rock. It's on Market Street right after Penn Station. The food is great and they have over 100 different beers.

We got there a little too late to give it a shot. Will definitely keep Bello's in mind too - thanks.
Very nice stadium, overall. Fans were very nice as well. There's little to no animosity between Isles/Devils fans it seems. I guess the old adage - 'The enemy of my enemy is my friend - applies here. Pretty decent showing by Isles fans to this one. I'm sure its a function of them being in first place and the fact that a big bus trip that brought in over 300 fans themselves had to do with it.
The Rock is what the Barclays Center SHOULD be, but because of the screwed up layout, it won't be. Such a shame.

I can't believe this team has won 4 out of their last 5 despite the shitty hockey they're playing, especially the last 3 games. They're averaging 16 shots per game in the past 3. That win against Florida was one of the worst hockey games I can remember watching.

Devils been playing good hockey lately, eh? They weren't playing very well, IMO. They just happened to get some good goaltending and good luck and strung those wins together. Back to reality now, as they got stomped by the Habs the other night and lost at home to the lowly Oilers tonight. Once again, they only had 14 shots. 14 shots at home against the Oilers is flat out pathetic. They are so old and slow and are mind-numbing to watch.

Found this on another Devils board and thought I'd share. It's worth the watch.

LOL, that was great. Thanks for sharing. What Devils board do you read? I browse the Devils forum of HF Boards semi-frequently.

I have friends who are Devils fans and we don't bust balls nearly as much as we do with the Ranger fans. The Rangers and Penguins these days are the teams I hate, I wish no particular ill will towards the Devils.

I've really never had any ill will towards the Isles. As Crash said, I think it's a lot of the "enemy of my enemy is my friend" type thinking. We both kind of sit in the shadow of the Rags and their appeal of the bright lights of Manhattan. More so the Devils, as the younger, Jersey team, but the point still stands. Also, one of my best, long time friends is a lifelong, diehard Isles fan and he's not at all the shit talking type. If they're not playing the Devils, I generally pull for them for his sake. My hatred scale is Flyers/Rangers neck and neck for #1, followed by the Penguins.
