Was just coming on to post that. Pretty underwhelming haul for us. Sounds like the pick is escalated to a 2nd rounder if the Wings make the finals and Devils retain $1 million of Zid's salary. Oh well, it's better than nothing. The million is prorated so it's really on 250k which isn't a big deal since he's an expiring. We also get a 2015 5th if they make it to the ECF. So let's go Wings and hope for a Panthers collapse. Crossing my fingers that there is a Ryder/Havlet deal that hasn't been announced yet, but I doubt it. Oh well. Yea I guess it's a 2015 5th and 2016 3rd if they make the ECF and just a 2016 2nd if they make the Cup. That's fine, I know Lou's hands were tied with dealing him since he had the NTC. Probably even more beneficial is the increase in minutes for some of our young d-men for the remaining 19 games. Totally fine with them shipping out Ryder or Havlat, even if they only bring back 7th rounders or something of the like. |

I'm happy that Gelinas should be getting more PP time, and it sounded like Severson was also splitting time with Zids on the PP in practice today. |

I believe I read that Severson is expected to return to the lineup on Friday. Although, maybe that was before the Zids trade. Maybe he comes back tomorrow now. |

I was there tonight. The Rock was a ghost town, but that was a nice, very surprising win. Schneider was excellent as usual, defense did a solid job, and those 2 early goals were enough.
