Hardly... especially where you live. Worst idiot drivers in the country. 3/4 of them should have their licenses permanently revoked. But we can still give them all guns, tho, right? Up there? I'm not sure! But they sure don't know how to drive and they are clearly delusional when it comes to their sports teams, So imma say don't let them have guns unless they live in Dorchester or one of the "L" towns

you know, people are not very well trained in operating a motor vehicle yet they are allowed on the roads and do not lose their licenses until the cops finally pull them over or they are involved in an accident. now what does anyone think can cause more damage? a moving car or a gun? well let me tell you right now that a moving car has way more kinetic energy than a bullet so the answer is pretty straight forward. my point is this whole notion that people who want guns need to be trained in their use is a little overblown. i am in agreement only because it might catch some of the crazies who do want guns. but at the same time, remember that a private flight school trained those 9-11 guys. was there a responsibility of the fight school to deny those aholes their training? with regard to anything about life it all comes down to personal responsibility and respect for your fellow man. Ummm....drivers receive training BEFORE being allowed to driver, take a test and are licensed. I've not gone through the process myself, but I believe NY state requires you to take a basic firearm safety course prior to applying for a pistol permit. Granted, I believe its classroom only, no actual firing of weapons, similar to the DMV classroom stuff we had to do. Plus you need to be fingerprinted, provide multiple character witnesses, etc. Its actually a pretty rigorous process.

Yea that's the agreed upon number, but God forbid we actually kept track of all the guns here in the ol' USA!!!! Best way to keep track is to outlaw them. It's not 1776, and they're not in a Militia. Time for sensible gun laws, like Europe have. Just look how much lower their gun violence is than here per capita. But hey, why would want that, muh freedom! Yep. While we are at it we should adopt their immigration policies as well. Bring everyone out of the shadows. Except, of course, the criminals who will find a gun if they want one or will build a bomb if they want one. The next time a criminal takes a law into account will be the first time.

Maine Gov. Signs Bill Prohibiting Gun Bans in Public HousingOn Tuesday Maine Governor Paul LePage signed legislation prohibiting public housing landlords from denying the Second Amendment rights of their tenants. The legislation –“An Act To Ensure Nondiscrimination against Gun Owners in Public Housing” (LD 1572) — was introduced after 67-year-old Rockland, Maine resident Harvey Lembo bought a gun on August 31, 2015 and used it when someone allegedly broke into his apartment to steal his painkillers. Breitbart News reported that the company managing Lembo’s apartment informed him he would have to get rid of the gun or move out of the apartment. But Lembo’s apartment complex is categorized as Section 8 housing, which means they receive public funding. So Maine state senator Andre Cushing III (R-Hampden) stepped in and introduced LD 1572, explaining that landlords who receive “public money” are not allowed to pick and choose which Constitutional rights their tenants can exercise.Cushing’s legislation passed and Governor LePage signed it into law on April 12. The NRA-ILA‘s Chris Cox commented on the new law, saying, “Law-abiding gun owners should not be denied their Second Amendment rights just because of their economic status or street address. The right of self-protection is fundamental, and now public housing residents throughout Maine will not be denied that right.” Cox added, “On behalf of our five million members, I want to thank State Senator Andre Cushing and Governor LePage for their leadership on this important issue.” www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/04/13/maryland-gov-signs-bill-prohibiting-gun-bans-public-housing/
