I am not a baseball fan but the fact that MLB suspended a coach and GM for a cheating first offense is definitely the way to go not the worthless slaps on the wrist the NFL used on the Pats*. Maybe this, the fact that the Pats* are faltering on their own and that it is what the 5th time the Pats* got caught cheating will make the NFL man up and bring down a harsh sentence. Not that I expect them to do anything of the sort.

Wow...though I'll feel alot better about this seeing Alex Cora suspended too..He was allegedly the mastermind in Houston, and cheated as Manager with the Sawx by many accounts.

You have to make it something so bad that it risks SERIOUS consequences. Thats means either an ENORMOUS amount of money, stripping a title, or seriously affecting their ability to compete for a period of time. I mean someone else will slide into the GM seat (and probably do what Luhnow tells them to, same with manager.)

There are ways around everything but losing Belicheck on game day I think would be a hit. Moreso than a GM but I would like to see a combo of lost picks, forfeits and suspensions. Fines don't hurt billionaires but loss of a years pay hurts the people suspended though I am sure they can be compensated somehow like Kraft paying Beli's fine through a "bonus".

Yeah I don't think these guys care about money after a certain point. Its just the cost of doing business. Forfeits I don't think either. Take too many picks and he''l walk to another team. Maybe make him wear a sweatshirt with sleeves.

They gotta give back the rings too or are they just like costume jewelry now?
