I like that people aren't obsessing about his being a 'head case'. Since his illness was diagnosed and treated he's really been a much better teammate. I can't blame him for being disappointed with his team last year, with that roster/coaching they wound up one spot better than the Jets! They had high playoff hopes did they not? Unacceptable! (LOL over/under for how many times he says that word next season). I'm sure he'll be more than happy being the #1 media market and won't have to travel to and fro to film inside the NFL. The Hangar is sponsored by Atlantic Health, plenty of thorazine and lithium available upon request.

Greg Gabriel - The Jets new scouting director is Rex Hogan who was with Bears last 12 years. I'm sure he had strong input b4 trade for Marshall was made 10:21am - 6 Mar 15

From a Bears message board. Pretty funny.
Let's get this straight in the past 5 years the Jets were all about getting Santonio Holmes, Percy Harvin and now potentially Brandon Marshall.
If they even think a WR is a slight head case they are all in. They are like that one friend that keeps dating crazy chicks.

Let's see how easily the Bears replace him, no the market is not 'flooded' with wide receivers. Randall Cobb, (who I bet gets more than 9M), Crabtree and who else. There are more than a few needy teams who will be outbidding you for their services (Colts, Philly to name two). How much cap space do they have? Good luck with that Exactly Is Marshall a bit of a headcase? Yeah...literally. He has a personality disorder. But he's still a big bodied receiver who attacks the hell out of the ball and has a huge catch radius. And wherever he's gone his teammates have always loved him. He just rubs some coaches and front office types the wrong way because of how outspoken he is. If teams want to pay $9+ million a year for a glorified slot receiver like Cobb or Harvin, then let 'em. Agreed, and like VTN said since treating his mental illness he's been a more stable human being. Can't fault him for his illness.....

2014: Can't believe the Bucs signed Vincent Jackson and then drafted Mike Evans. Tall stud WRs. Their offense is gonna be ridiculous.
2015: And with the first pick of the NFL draft...

Whoa boy! The view from Chicago.... A few months ago, the press here in Chicago was treating Marshall as a great reclamation project. Productive on the field. Overcame a mental health disorder, doing great work in the community for mental health awareness. There were news stories (not sports) about what a great citizen he had become. Now he is traded, all the Bears get is a 5th round pick and he is a bad teammate, bad player and a bad guy. I would have expected better from the Tribune.

Can't wait for the reports when they get rid of Cutler

Trade Harvin? If we do that, don't we give up our 4th instead of our 6th? And in return for that 4th, we get to keep our 6th and get another 6th or 7th? I think we'd just let him go and keep the 4th. No. He just has to be off the roster by March 19. Really? So two teams with roster clauses in play on trades of similar players could potentially swap players, give up the later draft pick, and still get an equivalent player out of the deal? Sounds like a lucrative consulting gig, finding those matches. Unfortunately, I don't think anyone wants Harvin at $10.5MM,even for a #7 in 2020.

Mike Mac comes across as a real nice good person when you hear him on the radio. Does anyone think he has the first clue what he has gotten himself into with us psychotic Jet fans LOL?

I actually think this trade makes it more likely that we trade down. Maccagnan doesn't seem like the one who doesn't value picks so I think he made this trade expecting to get more picks.

Thanks for the insight guess we'll see you in 11 days. What is going to happen in 11 days? You really think Maccagnan didn't try to trade Harvin? Right now you're bitching that we cut him. The tweet says that we're expected to cut Harvin. It hasn't happened yet. AKA it might happen a week from now or never. Marshall still has to pass a physical too. Get off your high horse and shove your insight up your ass.
