If a year from now Gurley turns out to be the next AP, would you really give two shits if you got him at 6 or 12? I say again, Adrian Peterson. Is he really that dynamic of a player? I wouldn't really know. Not a college guy but def have heard his name plenty. Know I've seen some of him but I can't keep track of these college players. Yes, he is that good. He's the best prospect at tailback since AP, and before him LT. Granted, you have to acknowledge his injury history - but to pretend he's anything but one of the top 3 prospects overall, is being ignorant.

If he truly is that good (and I've heard beastmode comparisons as well) than I wouldn't be mad I guess... But not if Cooper is there.

But if Cooper and Mariota are both off the board, it wouldn't shock me at all if we took Gurley. I'd actually be all in favor of it if those two guys + Fowler are gone. No way I'd take the 3rd/4th rated edgerusher over the best receiver in this class or a truly special RB like Gurley. Especially when DE/OLB is arguably the deepest position in this draft.

We share same philosophy (though differ on Mariota)... at #6 overall in a draft featuring 250+ prospects, I'm not reaching on guys like Dupree or even Beasley when you have a chance at generational talent... That's over thinking x10 And let's be real here. AP was drafted in 2007. That was almost 10 drafts ago... Gurley will likely be this generation's face of the running back position.

Agreed Fowler is the only passrusher that I'm truly sold on in the Top 10, but he probably doesn't even make it past Jacksonville. The absolute lowest I see him going is #5 to Washington. 1. Winston 2. Mariota 3. Fowler 4. Williams 5. Beasley That's ultimately how I see the Top 5 playing out. And in that case, there's no way I'm taking Dupree, Ray, etc over Cooper, Gurley, or even Parker/White to be honest.

He is the highest rated RB I have seen in over a decade....better than AP. He has no flaws too his game. He can bulldoze you, turn on the jets, great vision, great hands, and he drags tacklers all while having great size. My only concern is the little injuries that seemed too have nagged him in the past. But if healthy, he is dynamic in every facet of the game. A true game changer.

When you think about it, it's a fucking piss off that this draft offers a couple of the most dynamic offensive weapons in the last decade, AND we're in a position to get them.... yet the fucking cosmos are doing everything they can to make that a distant dream. I love Parker, Gordon, Hardy, Johnson, all these guys.. but to get Gurley would be a statement draft pick for this franchise and our future. If I have any favors left in this universe, I'm willing to cash in for a Gurley + DGB combo. Sounds like the Mac won't sniff the latter, but I'm going to dream.

I'd say his knee is fine. :0 Watch this game: draftbreakdown.com/video/todd-gurley-vs-clemson-2014/There's a ton of highlight reel material in there, but zero in on the play at 5:38... that kind of domination will win you games, whether it's against OAK, or SEA in SEA... You can't coach that. BTW: Guys like Gurley make guys like Beasley non-existent. There's not scouts highlight reel material here for Vic. Case in point why taking Beasley over Gurley is asinine.

The treadmill vid swayed me.

Sounds like the Mac won't sniff the latter, but I'm going to dream. We have no idea what he is going to do....but I can see some draft day maneuvering coming up. Something that Idzik was incapable of and raised questions marks for myself right from the start. I almost never want to trade down, but this year might be the exception.

I mean it's a piss off that we're in a position to get these guys, but things like, the knee injury, off field stuff, etc have made us selecting a guy like Gurley, or DGB a total question mark... when it ought to be a slam dunk
