This sucks.... Looks like we either go after Connor Cook or draft some piece of crap OL in the first round... We can't catch a break!

Just for some perspective, wasn't Johnny football supposed to be some mega superstar robocop QB? And what about the Tank 4 Teddy, only available first overall. They both suck. And I hear a lot of ppl doubting Mariotta. But they really fucked up today. Now it's on us to fuck up Pasts* hopes of home field advantage. If anyone can do it, it's Rex. And very typical Jets thing to do. Jackasses like Skip Bayless and Tony Kornheiser (aka talking heads who know dick about evaluating QB's) pumped up Johnny Manziel as some kind of amazing QB prospect. I knew that no one was going to draft a 5'11 185 lb QB from a gimmicky offense at the top of the draft. He only went in the 1st round because the Browns are...well...the Browns. A shitload of his big plays at A&M stemmed from him simply scrambling around in the pocket and throwing up prayers to Mike Evans. There's no doubt in my mind that Mariota is the best QB prospect to come out since Luck three years ago. That's why it sucks a bag of dicks to miss out on him. Every JI draft regular poster hated him. Well....that Dukes of Hazzard loving guy loved him, and he has been very successful in his QB evaluations. Maybe we are a bunch of misfits that know nothing about the draft.

Hopefully we can at least get Cooper but with Idzik as our GM I doubt that happens, we will pick a tackle. Maybe we trade MO W for a pick.

Only the Jets could screw up at being bad.

If they believe in Carr as their QB, they probably take Cooper. A lot will change between now and the draft, but if Cooper does not make it to us, I am thinking we come away with either Devante Parker or one of the OTs -- Peat (if he declares) or Scherff.

We'll need a stud OT since the QB next season will likely be of the made of glass variety ... Bradford or Locker.

I still think the Raiders are taking a DL. Either Williams or Gregory

Assuming Mariota, Winston and Cooper are off the board, I'd be all for downgrading our pick and taking fliers on DGB and Gurley. Might as well swing for the fences.

Fisher supposedly wants him back in St. Louis. That's what makes this win such a kick in the balls. Who the hell are our options if we aren't getting Mariota or Winston? Some fucking mediocre journeyman like Brian Hoyer or Matt Moore? All we had to do was lose this meaningless fucking game and we would've been golden. There's no chance in hell that we beat New England or Miami.

All I know is it does not matter much if the Jets fire Rex and Idzik if they continue to allow Bradway to be the director of scouting. Bradway MUST go.

Don't get me wrong this win did nothing for the franchise but not act like losing this game got us the 1st pick in a draft with a luck type QB prospect declaring

I've said time and time again that if Mariota simply turns out to be a Top 15 QB for the next 8-10 years along the lines of Joe Flacco and Matthew Stafford, I'd be totally fucking thrilled. You're best chances of landing a franchise QB are at the top of the draft. I don't even see how that's debatable. And VERY few of them are going to be once in a generation, surefire prospects like Luck. You still have to take a chance. It sure as hell beats banking on the 0.001% chance that you land the next Montana or Brady in the mid-late rounds.

There was still many more variables It didn't guarantee us the top pick, but it essentially guaranteed us a Top 3 pick. Which makes it much more manageable to trade up for the #1 overall pick.
