Assuming Mariota, Winston and Cooper are off the board, I'd be all for downgrading our pick and taking fliers on DGB and Gurley. Might as well swing for the fences. Fortunately for us, I believe both of those guys will be available in the second round.

We'll need a stud OT since the QB next season will likely be of the made of glass variety ... Bradford or Looker. We probably won't even have a shot at Bradford. Fisher supposedly wants him back in St. Louis. That's what makes this win such a kick in the balls. Who the hell are our options if we aren't getting Mariota or Winston? Some fucking mediocre journeyman like Brian Hoyer or Matt Moore? All we had to do was lose this meaningless fucking game and we would've been golden. There's no chance in hell that we beat New England or Miami. Unfortunately, we are left either hoping to get lucky or build for 2016. Sign a free agent like the guys you mention and hope our guy - whoever he is - takes it to another level as a Jet. Otherwise we put as many pieces in place as we can, let one of these jags act as a caretaker for a year and go get our guy in 2016. This is not a good year to be needing a QB.

My guess is that we are going to follow TB and TN's lead. 1st year coaches bottoming out.
We go grab our LT of the future and grab the guard from FSU in the 2nd. We lose 15 games next year and draft Hogan #1 in 2016.
That said, I sure as hell hope Hogan drastically improves because right now he is light years behind Mariota.

Well if Woody had cleaned house and had a GM and HC who had compatible goals instead of a coach fighting for his coaching life, there might have been a chance of that happening

This stench is 100% on Woody. 2 years from now Woody will be firing Idzik and the rookie head coach he brings in. We are now 4 years removed from the playoffs with basically no shot at them for at least 2 more years.

The fact that he showed up on the sideline today was weird, and I think might mean it actually could be a possibility.

I dont think it means he will be firing Idzik. I think its more of a look at me I am an involved owner with my trusted GM who I will let bring in his own guy.

If Woody wants to be cheap and not pay Idzik the remaining years on his contract for doing nothing, then remove him as GM and let him handle contracts and the cap like Tanny did when he first started. Then hire a new GM and let him revamp the scouting department and coaching staff.

I still think Geno has flashed Pro Bowl level at times.

Rooting for the team to lose is tough.....I think indifference is a better word. I was rooting for the Jets yesterday, but would not have been upset had they lost in the end. Have to give Rex credit, these guys are still playing hard for him.

I'll admit that I wanted them to lose as well but felt a little different after the fight. For a few minutes I wanted the Jets to kick their a@@ but at the end I was going nuts on the final play hoping they would make it into the endzone and felt ill when they didn't. I actually felt as bad as I do when I want the Jets to win and they lose.
