It's either Lynch or we better fucking pray that Petty develops into something, because next years QB class is looking like shit.
Now is the time to make a move, especially with an asset like Mo.
I don't buy that we could get a Top 15 pick in a straight up trade for him, but packaging him with #20 to move up 10-12 spots for Lynch? Yeah, I'd do that. The Jets have been trying to hammer out a longterm deal with him for two years now. It's obvious at this point that they won't get anything done. And if you franchise him next year, you're talking about paying him almost $20 million for the season.
Might as well move him now to secure a potential 10+ year starter at QB.

If Mac thinks that Lynch is the real deal, then I don't care what we give up to get it done, if he doesn't then let the draft fall to us and let Geno start.
It's not a call I can make, I have to leave it up to the brain trust, and then root for the best.

Like I said I'm all for Lynch in 16, but I thank God it's not my decision.

I am Fully Prepared to Get behind Geno Smith For one solid year and give him all the help he can get. One last chance to see if he can make i. Ive seen Extreme talent from him and unbelievable stupidity. Maybe Im wrong and talent and determination can beat out stupid with the right coach and right supporting cast. Either way I have come to terms with |Geno one more time without being thrown into a fire. A real Chance for him to fucking sink or swim. Not to mention pettys ass on the bench in case. Lynch can fuck off somewhere else. Im not taking shots on anymore dickheads hyped up in college especially this year. just my 2 cents Funny as fuck, we've finally come full circle. I'm now ready to move on from Geno after he destroyed my patience in that Oakland game and gettin himself cold cocked, and now you are doin this to me?

If Paradis was regurgitating a bunch of people's ideas he wouldn't be banging the table for Lynch. The top posters in our draft forum watch a ton of games / game tape and if you ever followed game day threads you'd realize that. I do follow the game day threads. I don't want to get into a big thing here, but none of you watch film. You watch tv recordings. You aren't scouts. You don't watch all 22 tape. I read the draft forum. You can say all you want, but I've never read anything in there that doesn't come from a paid analysts mouth or pen first. It's a hobby, and there is nothing wrong with that. But the mentality some have as some football elitist knowledge base is beyond tired. I'm not going to call people out, but MANY times I've seen multiple "knowledgable draft posters" fail to identify the proper coverage or blocking scheme in a game thread. Not to say there aren't plenty of knowledgable guys in there. There are. I like most of them. I like Paradis. There are plenty of knowledgable people outside that forum too. I'm not sure why you bash the draftniks and then go forward and ask for opinions and pose questions from those very same people on the draft forum. Can't you just read the numerous scouting reports available to any JoeBlow and come to YOUR own conclusion. I'm sure you will have an uninformed and biased opinion when it comes to our actual draft. The truth is All-22 barely exists for some prospects and some of the draft posters dig as deep as they can too watch them. You're just a giant leech that takes his shots and runs, never giving one ounce of unbiased criticism or your personal opinion. The one thing about our Draft forum that kicks ass is people give their honest opinions and could give a shit about draft reports. They put there name on prospects, including some obscure prospects that are high profile UDFA's that you would never hear about. Now go ahead with your usual drunken post followed up by tomorrows apology.

If given a choice of trading away multiple 1sts to move up for Lynch, or staying put and drafting Connor Cook at 20, I'd do the latter. I know it's not a popular opinion, but I like him alot. I would have a hard time choosing between the two if they were both sitting there at 20 for us. It's not a knock on Lynch... I just like Cook that much. I bet that there are some GMs that would agree. It seems Peter King agrees with you. "20. New York Jets: Jack Conklin, OT, Michigan State. Versatile player (tackle/guard) who would fit at four of the five line positions. NFL teams love his personality, after he walked on at Michigan State and worked his way up to a top-three ranking among 47 offensive linemen in terms of athleticism at the combine. I toyed with putting Connor Cook here, but I think the Jets still think Ryan Fitzpatrick’s their quarterback for at least one more year, and they have bigger needs to fill, including the void left by the retirement of D’Brickashaw Ferguson."I thought this was interesting because at this point in his mock Lynch is still on the board but he doesn't consider him for the Jets but Cook. I personally have no idea who these people are I only read about them draft time since we don't really get NCAA coverage in Turkey, so sorry Paradis but this is as my own opinion as its going to get, but I still thought it was interesting that he mentioned lynch to be in consideration for the browns at 13 but not for us at 20.

They put there name on prospects, including some obscure prospects that are high profile UDFA's that you would never hear about. Now go ahead with your usual drunken post followed up by tomorrows apology. Here is my honest opinion. You are one of the people in the draft forum that is not one of the good ones. I have never read anything from you and thought, that guy gets football. Or what an informed opinion. I pose questions because I like discussion, and like I said, there is a lot of good info in that forum in one consolidated place. I value quite a few people's opinion in there. Lithfan, Paradis, Maury, Nosebleed. The fact is I do read lots of scouting reports online, I also watch a ton of college football. I will have an opinion on our draft. You are right about that. The part about me being a giant leech is just plain stupid. If I am one thing, it's someone who owns up to their opinions, right or wrong. I give plenty of my personal opinions, but much more on the football side than the draft side. I could talk for a good long while on some prospects, because I've personally seen them play a lot. You apparently like to make up ridiculous crap to form and argument. It's ironic you wrote this response, really. By the way, since I never go on record and all that jazz, my preference in RD1 goes as follows. Conklin Decker Spence. If they take Lynch at 20, it is what it is, but I have serious doubts he's ever going to be a quality starting QB in the NFL.

Just had a bleacher report sayin Jets and Bills are "extremely interested" in Lynch, feel sorry for that poor fucker if Rex gets his hands on him. I said it before, but man I'm really starting to think the Jets might be manufacturing false interest in Lynch to either get trade interest in their pick, or hope to push their players down the board. The amount of meaningful leaks in the Mac/Bowles era is next to zilch, so it strikes me as odd they have been connected so much. Lynch's agent could be the source too, trying to drum up interest at higher picks than 19/20.
