You're definitely suffering from homerism. You know why Hack was available at pick #51? Because he's broken, I don't know any universe where the best rehab for being broken is baptism by fire in the NFL. You'd have to be fighting off downs to think that's gonna pay off. Guys, it's hard enough to hit a home run with "sure thing" QB prospects let alone broken ones. The prudent thing to do is not even dress the bastard in 2016. Hey dickhead, some posters here have family members with special needs. Consider this your first and last warning. If I see another comment of this nature from you, you're looking at a lengthy ban. Thanks for calling me dickhead. I too have family with cognitive challenges which is why I try to not use language that's too demeaning... I also have a gay mother in law if you can believe that. Doesn't stop posters from using faggot every turn of the way, or inserting gay into every post. It's nice to know that slander is up to the your subjective agenda tho. Thanks.

Regardless of what everyone thinks, it will sure make to be an interesting training camp if Fitz does come back.
On the one hand, by everyone's indication, Geno was outplaying Fitz in camp last year. Certainly, that had a lot to do with Fitz coming off of an injury and being rusty....but until "the punch" all signs pointed to Geno being the day one starter.
On the other hand, Geno is the only QB on the roster not picked by Mac Daddy, which leads credence to some arguments that Geno will be the odd man out if Fitz comes back.
The interesting subplot will be what happens if Fitz comes back and Petty shits the bed this spring/summer while Geno plays well?
Will Mac Daddy go off script and cut the guy he drafted just one year ago, who also comes with a cheaper cap number and who may not have been given long enough to develop? (which personally I think would be BS....Petty's been in the system for a full year....he either gets it now or he'll never get it).
Or will Mac Daddy cut Petty....essentially admitting that his personal QB pick last year was a complete bust.
Frankly, I'd much rather Mac Daddy admit his failings in the draft and keep the better guy....then stick with someone who isn't going to cut it just because he was drafted last year.

Mac mentioned Bryce Petty being our #2 QB behind Geno about 30 minutes ago on the radio. So there's that.

I just don't get who's going to be protecting the qb (whomever it is) - if Breno is starting this upcoming season, I hope the good lord takes pity on their souls.

Is it me or can you also sense the Fitz undertones when Macc speaks? To me he knows the media and fan perspective of Geno is bad but he doesn't want to be seen to favour Geno over re-signing Fitz by either the fanbase or the media because he would lose credibility. However if he portrays the situation as he couldn't get Fitz back because of his demands, he gets what he wants but also saves face. Macc is happy for Geno to start until Hack is ready, I can feel it in my ball bag.

The Petty fan club is nearing Ratliff-esque levels of benign worship.... And that's cool I guess. Most of his fans appear to have only watched his YouTube highlight videos. He's CFL quarterback. Anyway I hope I'm wrong, but I'm probably not. If you're speaking about me, I have no such thoughts about Petty. I am one of those guys that needs to see things to believe them. But let's face it, your "benign worship" of Lynch was filled with pure unadulterated over-emotional fandom. You were all in to trade up to the top 5 to get him and all but guaranteed he was going top 5. Instead, we could have traded back 5 spots to get him. So maybe being a little less condescending to others might be a good idea. Let's face it, we all all just fans who likes to play weekend GM.

'OH SNAP" is pretty much what you're limited to feel and you're not allowed to post it. So...dont.
