It sounds like the cop says "he got my gun" around 17 seconds in. Don't fight the cops. You will never win. At least not for long.

Poor guy.
My heart goes out to his family and the 60 families of those shot in Chicago this weekend.

Its right there on the tape...also, the cop that appears to shoot doesnt even have his gun out until the other cop begins to yell about the dude having his gun. Remember...they were there in the first place because of a call for a man who had just threatened someone with a gun at that location...they obviously hadnt even frisked this guy yet so they didnt know if he had a gun even as the guy began to wrestle. In this day and age there is a presumption you can resist arrest and the cawps are supposed to dance around with you and keep you unharmed until you decide to submit...its just not realistic or required by law for that matter. I had a similar situation where we wrestled around with a guy, a crowd gathered, grew hostile and it was all we could do to cuff the guy and throw him in the van we were in before the crowd closed in. We knew he had drugs, but what we didnt know as we hastily threw him in the van was that he had a gun in his crotch because we didnt have time to frisk him thoroughly. God was watching over us that day because it was eventually found...but we sat with this guy armed next to us without even knowing it. All I know from that brief, (and admittedly uncomfortable to watch) clip... is that there is certainly not enough visible for me to judge them. Having been in their shoes...I can understand how it happened.

What do you think about this....With concealed carry now being legal more and more, do you worry that "having" a gun will lead to more guys getting shot? If your a cop in a tussle and you hear "gun"...you are more likely to shoot...right?

If your a cop in a tussle and you hear "gun"...you are more likely to shoot...right? In my experience, licensed gun owners dont behave like this gentleman and are usually law-abiding, well-trained individuals who have minimal to no contact with LE. Even if they do, and having nothing to hide, they dont exhibit behaviours that would alarm LE and raise the level of suspicion. Been to hundreds of shooting scenes, was almost 100% minority on minority crime and never one licensed gun owner involved. Its a discussion no one wants to have, especially those who purport to have the interests of minority youth in mind. As for the cops above...please tell me...what was in that for them? Where did they benefit? Just to shoot an unarmed black guy for no reason? Tell me how much fun their lives are right now. -

When the Police tell you to do something just fucking do it. Argue about it later when you get to court.
