the good; forte played like everyone said he would. he ran well and was a reliable receiver. powell ran well. the oline played much better than was expected. enunwa is going to be a really good receiver. the dline got 7 sacks. williams got an int. darrin lee made some nice runs to the ball carrier and stopped him for a short gain. it looks like they finally have a really good return man in marshall. the guy has guts and made some nice returns. the specials kept the bungle returns to a minimum. the punter did really well.
the bad: fitz was a little inaccurate. marshall dropped too many balls. that last one was the game killer. the bungle wr's, especially green had some pretty good catches for long gains. folk missed a pat and a gimme fg. the fitz int was somewhat inexcusable. he has to make that throw for a completion.

The Good:
Leonard Williams. Wow. That 2nd(?) defensive series was just flat-out dominant. He's really that good. Jalin Marshall is a keeper as a returner. As a WR he reminds me of Laveranues Coles, just needs to get more polished. OL performed well above expectations. Enunwa has definitely made steps towards being a solid contributor. Powell looks to be picking up where he left off last year. WE FINALLY HAVE A PUNTER! Forte will be great the first half of the year.
The Bad:
Secondary is a work in progress that needs to get sussed out quickly. Fitzpatrick's timing is way too inconsistent. Marshall seems to be...something. Just seemed off. LBs aren't particularly impactful. Lachlan Edwards/Nick Folk need more practice on FGs/XPs Forte will be fair to middling the second half.

The good: We got 7 sacks
The bad: We need to get about 10 sacks a game to win with this secondary.

Good: Enunwa has defied what i believed to be impossible, and made strides as a pure WR. I closed the book too quickly on him.... Dline was a good as you'd expect from spending 4/5 of our fucking resources over the last 5 drafts in that department.
Bad: CIN watched game tape from last year and remembered that all you have to do is sit on the routes and forces us to dink and dunk our way through the game until we fuck up. oh yea, and the elite choke secondary is back.

Does anyone see any difference between this year's team and last year's? Did anything change? Improve? This is not a cohesive team. It looks like it's coached by the units, very erratic from one unit to the next. They definitely aren't playing like a "team". This does not reflect well on Bowles. And the QB coaching looks highly suspect. Between Fitz and Geno it looks like they are trying to do something neither of them are capable of. Fitz looks like he's trying to throw bullets making him more inaccurate, and in PS Geno was throwing lawn darts. Is this the same QB coach as last year? I hope he doesn't ruin Hack even worse.
