The good is Defense can keep us in games, the bad is O I don't believe can win enough of them.

Of the two things I was most worried about, the Offensive Line and the Secondary, one proved me right and one I was completely wrong about.
Kudos to the OLine who led the way for Forte and gave Fitzpatrick and fairly consistent pocket most of the game. The Secondary is a major issue, especially when Dalton was getting frazzled by our DLine most of the day. It wasn't just Green vs. Revis. I remember a ton of out patterns and sideline passes that always seemed to gain 5-8 yards a pop.
Todd Bowles has work to do.

Good: Enunwa has defied what i believed to be impossible, and made strides as a pure WR. I closed the book too quickly on him.... Dline was a good as you'd expect from spending 4/5 of our fucking resources over the last 5 drafts in that department. Bad: CIN watched game tape from last year and remembered that all you have to do is sit on the routes and forces us to dink and dunk our way through the game until we fuck up. oh yea, and the elite choke secondary is back. Cincy also realized we play 10 yards off the line of scrimmage and dink and dunked us for a win. Same shit Tyrod and Watkins did to end our season last year. It worked perfectly. And no adjustment by Bowles. Like Deja vu all over again. Not a good sign! Hope we don't keep seeing this over and over

I blame the special teams first, but then, this so called "Elite Defense" - my black ass. We had a lead with a few minutes left, and they let the Bengals march down the field. Disgusting.

Do you think Ray Lewis and the Raven defense back in the day would have let the Bengals march down the field? Hell no. They would have stopped them on that 3rd and whatever and no shot to kick that FG.
Fucking paid Mo for what - 7 sacks, but can't stop a nosebleed.

Because we settled for FGs instead of getting touchdowns. Never tried to stretch the D and go long. Dink and dunk all day. Felt like Pennington was back but with a wobbly, inaccurate ball. Secondary definitely has its issues and owns some of the blame. Coaching didn't adjust to the screens and short passes to negate the pass rush, they own some of the blame. Folk missed a fucking XP and short FG so he owns some of the blame. This game was a team loss no one is blameless.

You can always count on this "elite defense" to give up a back breaking 3rd and 18 or 50+ yard TD. it really is startin to bore the livin shit out of me.

Otherwise , they looked like disparate groups running around directionless

The Jets have never had an elite defense, if were it would have scored 6 itself, and or caused an additional turnover that would have the O with less than 10 yards to score because getting half the field to work with isn't enough for the O. ST, has always been the problem like O they both have not been consistent. Getting marched on can happen from time to time especially when you don't know the play they are pros too. 4 FG attempts, whats the score if one of those is 6 not 3? or 2 of those attempts or 3 or make the one missed?

Good - Defensive Line, OL, Forte, Powell
Bad - Play calling particularly in the redzone
Bad - Fitz - I'm sorry, so many games this weekend came down the final drive of the game. Sure not all of the teams driving for the last score won, but Fitz was the ONLY QB who couldn't move the ball at all. Some blame Marshall for the drop....but that was a poorly thrown ball low and behind him. I'm sorry. Between Fitz's inability to get the ball in the endzone and that pathetic last drive....this one's on Fitz in my book. He insisted on starter money and played like a 3rd stringer.

He didn't deserve it and played exactly as he has been his whole career.
