As long as you win games and don't get suspended, I don't care what you do. This is an NFL franchise, not some rehab rebilitation center. I don't care of your character as long as whatever you're doing doesn't cost you suspension and you keep winning. Obviously it can interfere with how the locker room behaves but agaib I stress, just win baby win.

The Big Ben comparisons are tempting.

He's a great talent, but I don't think the off field concerns on Famous are asinine. The guy was caught stealing on tape (he'd preordered by name for Christ's sake). He's been involved in a few questionable situations on campus (he's been absolved by campus investigations) that he should have the sense to stay miles away from (if you accept his innocence to begin with). In the age of Hernandez, caution is definitely sensible. That doesn't mean you stay away, but only pick after you've done YOU'RE homework and have a plan in place on how to steward the kid. I agree. Asinine wasn't the right word to lump the reasons as, but the asinine reason I was most referring to was the rise of mariotta. You don't take Marriotta over him just because of their characters. You take one over the other because of the skills. IMO, Winston's skills are far superior and I don't trust Marcus as a prospect at all Is it bad of me to hope that Winston gets into a little trouble before the draft to help him slide down to the Jets

This stay away from Winston mania reminds me of the stay away from Marino disinformation campaign. If he's there the Jets have to take him. Like hell they do, and they better not+1 I screamed "No Geno" at the tv, but they took him. I didn't want Sanchez, but they took him. Things happen in threes. Oh Gawd no........

Other than Winston is bigger, stronger, has a much better arm, plays in bigger games, is deadly accurate into much smaller windows is the undeniable team leader and looks like an NFL QB. Other than those differences, they look alike. if he's there and the Jets pass they're idiots. I never said they look alike. I said they were both over analysed. Bridgewater always looked like a #1 pick until his hands were measured. Similarly Winston has fallen for asinine reasons Point is that as prospects, they shouldn't be in the same sentence.

He stole crab legs. As a 19 year old. They sound pretty asinine He called ahead, put down his name, came in, requested the crab legs he had ordered by name, and then tried to steal them. You are right that its asinine behavior, but I think its questionable behavior when coming from a Heisman winner who should know better. However, its the lesser of my concerns. The on campus misconduct charges are the bigger deal for me (and the unfortunate parallel to Big Ben) and while I understand that he was cleared by the internal investigation and certainly would not take him out of consideration, I simply think they require a lot more research and for the new GM/HC to be fully committed to the kid and confident in his character. As an aside, the merits of campus hearing processes for sexual assault is one of the most controversial and polarizing issues in academia today - so I want to be clear that its not a knock on FSU to say that the team should take a closer look, half the ivy league and my own alma mater actually, are involved in controversies regarding how these cases are handled. And its not just one incident, its the accusation of assault, the theft on camera, the autograph thing. He's been cleared on most of the stuff thats come up, but the frequent incidence for a public figure, even at 19, requires careful attention.
