We also picked 12th back in 1994, selecting DB Aaron Glenn from Texas A&M ================================================ Isn't this the guy Parcells called a girl or something? I think that was the receiver, Terry Glenn, that was drafted when Parcells coached the Pats.

He called Terry Glenn "She"; when "she" was unable to report, due to injury? The reporters heard it on the practice field..

Day 11Tough day, Day 11. Only once in their history have the Jets selected 11th overall, and it was in the 2nd round of the 1964 AFL Draft. The Jets selected Lloyd Voss, DE, Nebraska. Voss never played for the Jets -- he was also drafted by Green Bay in the NFL Draft, and opted to play for the Packers. The Jets have, however, selected over 30 players int he 11th round of the draft, including Tennessee QB Pat Ryan, who was selected with the 281st pick in the 1978 Draft. Pat had a 13 year NFL career, including 12 seasons with the Jets, primarily as a back-up to Richard Todd and Ken O'Brien.

We also had the 16th pick in 2012 and selected Quinton Coples. He did not contribute much to either the Jets or to his 2nd team, or his 3rd team. Being released by both Miami and the Rams after he was waived by the Jets. Plus he had those disgusting brands on his arms. Could barely look at them. _ Looked like coils of doodie on his arms

Pat Ryan was a straight up hero in 84. He faced up with Chip Banks on a keeper, put his helmet in that chest; drove right over him. fuggin A

Day 10With the 10th pick in the 1985 NFL Draft, the NY Jets selected WR Al Toon, Wisconsin. As LSL pointed out -- not many good offensive players on the Countdown, but we have one today. Every time I think of Toon, I can't help but think of what might have been had he been able to stay healthy.

One year earlier, in 1984, the Jets also picked 10th in the draft. They selected SMU CB Russell Carter.

Not saying he was at the same level as Rice, but he was not that far behind a few years into his career, then the injuries slowed him down.

Day 91 solid day 9 pick and two busts. For the one good pick, we need to go all the way back to 1972 when the Jets selected Jackson State TE Jerome Barkum with the 9th overall pick.

In 1995, with the 9th overall pick, the Jets selected Penn State TE Kyle Brady.
