What can you say? Jacksonville was coming off a road game in London and they looked flat on offense. Bortles was terrible. Browns also look horrible.
There is still a lot of season left. We can win in Cleveland next week and realistically lose out for the remainder of the season.

I've had Rosen & Darnold as 1a & 1b for a while. I think Rosen has the higher floor and Darnold has the higher ceiling.

I should be around tonight for the game. I'm not as high on Falk as some of you guys are, but hopefully he changes my mind tonight.

I feel you. I'm equally confused about how to assess a "win"... I do want to players to perform and develop... and hell, if the team comes together and shows us we're on our way, i guess that's great?... but we can't fuck around here. This HAS to be the year we get "the guy".. just has to be. ...and yea. the lack of relevant football talk is an issue. Seriously. If we slip out of position for a Darnold/Rosen pick, what do you think about a guy like Barkley and then package our 2s to go after Falk later in the 1st. Although I really want to see how Falk looks tomorrow night against Southern Cal before thinking too much about this scenario. Haven't watched him much this season. I'd rather trade picks to have a shot at one of the big 2. Go big or go home. We did it with Sanchez, hopefully this time there are better results.

Shame about Peake, I thought he was a potential steal in the 7th last year, but there are more talented players in front of him at WR

At some point you have to hold them accountable for the missed opportunities. I agree, but perhaps we can wait more than 3 games to make that assessment.

The dude is showing good hands. Starting to love this guy. Let's see him run with the call after the catch. _ Really. Do you really love him? Do you love him, say more than Kareem fucking Hunt? That running back who we passed on - who's presently crushing records in the NFL... Do you love him that much. Cause when fucking loser Canadians who've never even played 4 down football can see that one coming -- but your F.O. can't -- it's time to start burning the house. C'mon man. Hunt went in the 3rd round, every other team passed on him at least twice. I watched tape on Hunt and didn't see this coming.

As much as I want this team to tank and finally select our franchise QB. I just don't think it'll happen. I think it'll be close with the Jags. They'll beat the Browns. We're bound to win one other divisional game. Sucks but unless Hackenberg for some reason starts playing games, then we're screwed. Probably will pick around 6 like we always do. The Jets have looked a little bit better than expected because McCown has played better than we expected. Once he returns to his traditional performances or gets injured, the tank will be fully on.

Stewart is growing on me as well. He seems like a gamer. Hopefully he starts taking Kerley's snaps.

I stayed up to watch the UCLA/Stanford game. Jim Mora needs to go, and David Shaw finally realized that K.J. Costello should be his starting QB. Costello is just so much better than Chryst. Rosen threw the ball 60 times...Lol. He is getting beat up by a bad O line, but he keeps his footwork and fundamentals are still good. He gets the ball out fast when he needs to and avoids the first wave of pass rush pretty well. I doubt he makes it through this season without injury though, with that O line and having to throw 60 times in a game, it just doesn't look good for him. Agreed. I just don't see Rosen coming back for his senior year with the way he is getting beat up back there.

2017 draft - Browns 1-15
2016 draft - Titans 3-13
2015 Draft - Buccaneers 2-14
2014 Draft - Texans 2-14
Relax guys, you don't need to go 0-16 to get the first pick.

Before the season, I looked at the calendar and had us pegged for 3 wins. Today was one of those games. Home opener against a division rival that starts Cutler at QB. Even if we win 2-3 games, we should be ok.
BTW, for those expecting us to beat Jax next week, they are 2-1 and put up 44 on Baltimore today.

Only 1 quarter so far, but Darnold is not looking good today. Maybe it was that fan that brought the Darnold Jets jersey to the game.

It's a lot easier to root for the team to lose as long as they keep trotting out McCown, McLendon, Kearse, Kerley, Skrine, etc. When are the young guys going to play? Isn't that what this season was supposed to be judged on?
