But but I read that the Jets FO wait for stuff to happen and then they react. Haha. I'm sure those will still complain about this move too. Do you think signing Beatty for $5m would have been better value than Clady? Consider that we save the 5th, sign Beatty to a cheaper deal although you may be getting a slightly better LT in Clady?

TB Buccaneers take C Jack Allen; Michigan State as their 1st Offensive Pick. Bucs C Joe Hawley is on the last yr. of contract.
The former Illinois state title holder at 285 pounds is not the largest center in the country, but no other "man in the middle" matches this four-year starter's toughness, anchor, and aggressive nature. The two-time USA Today All-American missed a couple of games with an ankle injury in 2015, but came back to help his team to a Big Ten title.

Sirius had a mock draft today and had the Jets trading up to the 3rd pick and giving them Wilks. We also get the Chargers second round pick at number 35. They saw us taking a QB first then Jalen Ramsay with the 35th pick. I'd sign up for that. I'd sign up for that too, but it will never happen. I have a better chance of fucking every VS model. Ramsay will never be there at #35. There are rumors that he might go #1 overall and I doubt the Chargers would give us the 3rd overall pick. What idiot on Sirius said this? All the analysts are projecting Ramsey as a Safety in the NFL.... I'm not sure I'd go top 5 pick for a Safety. Hargreaves is the best Cover CB in this Draft with incredible ball skills. High pointed and caught EVERYTHING at the combine and had 10 INT's this year. Ramsey better be the next Ed Reed, Polamalu or Lott.

I like the Shalique Calhoun pick HeyMangold made. Quick 1st step, long and Rangy, dips the shoulder well and 1 thing that jumped out 34 1/4" arms. Those are like OT sized arms. Hopefully he knows how to use them. Needs to bulk up. Team Captain @ Michigan State(cough... Conner Cook)

Boozer, I was a whisker away from taking Jaylon Smith for the Jaguars right before you. Those nerve damage reports are a bit off putting. After Fowler's injury last off season, just couldn't risk it for Idzik with SMith. Smith likely won't play until very late in 2016 if at all. But if he makes a full recovery, in 2017 he will be considered the steal of this draft. WIth Lavonte David locked up until 2019 and if old man Daryl Smith can play well in 2016 while SMith recovers, Tampa will be all set for 2017 at LB. You know Dcat, I was debating on whether to take Hunter Henry to bookend with ASJ in 2 TE sets with Evans, Jackson and Doug Martin.... That's just nasty. In the end though I realized what you did.... If Jaylon can come back even 90%, along with LeVonte David on the other side Kwon Alexander in yr.3 and my 1st rd. pick Hargreaves, by 2017 this team will be in the hunt for the division.

and I'm glad we are holding the line on Fitz....I think Mac really read the market right and if the old man still wants to play and wants to start he better start thinking of signing before we decide to find someone else to not shave and throw the ball to marshall and decker while powell and forte run threw a few new holes. Someone that can actually get the ball to that 2nd rounder smith as he blazes down the sideline....you know someone who can ACTUALLY throw the deep ball accurately perhaps. I think Amaro and Smith come back to surprise some and Fitz better get wise before the dance starts and he is the one without a partner. I'm still one of the few people around here who thinks Geno Smith could surprise people in a positive way. He's physically talented and showed some progress in the past. But he needs to show maturity and, after a year watching and learning from the bench, could make a big leap in Year 4. There are several other guys who, if they take a solid step this year, could really contribute and be positive difference-makers: Geno, Amaro, Mauldin, Devin Smith, Leo Williams, etc. Who knows....maybe even guys like Taiwan Jones, Dakota Dozier or Jarvis Harrison can elevate themselves to solid 2nd-teamers or get into the rotation. Sounds like you and Noah Spence hooked up recently. Those hallucinations can get "Real Crazy, Man!" It's called Ecstacy for a reason.

Liked this kid in college.... wouldn't mind Jets making a waiver claim.
Ekpre-Olomu feels great, will get knee re-examined soon
Posted by Mike Florio on April 3, 2016, 1:10 PM EDT
AP The Browns have decided to move on from cornerback Ifo Ekpre-Olomu, a top prospect in the 2015 draft who slid to round seven after tearing an ACL in December 2014. But it hardly means that his career is over.
Ekpre-Olomu feels fine, a source with knowledge of the situation tells PFT. He’s currently able to dunk a basketball again, and he’s routinely working out with NFL-caliber players, covering receivers and otherwise performing at a high level. The Browns, however, became concerned about his ability to play 16 regular-season games based on the contents of a recent MRI of his knee.
It’s Cleveland’s prerogative to have that concern, and to exercise their privilege to release the player from the non-football injury list. The question now becomes whether another team will claim on waivers a player with a low-end, minimum salary deal that covers the next three years.
Ekpre-Olomu is scheduled to visit this week with Dr. Neal ElAttrache, who repaired the ACL following the original injury. Dr. El Attrache already has cleared Ekpre-Olomu; the goal is to check the knee again in order to confirm that he’s indeed good to go.
It’s possible that Dr. ElAttrache will eventually clean out scar tissue, if that’s the issue creating concern in the MRI.
If Dr. ElAttrache concludes once again that Ekpre-Olomu is good to go, that could mean the Rams will be interested; Dr. ElAttrache’s online bio shows that he’s a consultant to the Rams.
Ekpre-Olomu likely will officially hit the waiver wire on Monday, giving all teams a 24-hour window for claiming the balance of his contract. If unclaimed, he’ll become a free agent.

You can have the Saints if you'd like? Let Lithfan know and copy and paste this post on the PM Good luck. I'll keep the TB Bucs Got it, Booz, and thanks. JonEJet , you in for the Saints now? You know Lith.... I can't remember a draft where the talent outside the 1st 15 picks has been so thin? I'm really going to have to study up for the proceeding rounds. I've almost always had a fairly good grasp on the better prospects coming out at least thru the first 3 - 4 rounds. Not so in this draft. Players being rated in the second rd. I have no clue who they are.
