Geno.... I finally want to see a Jet QB throw it further than 30 yards during a game. Geno.... I'm tired of wondering what this kid can do with real weapons Geno.... $9m in savings to sign Mo. Geno.... If we're only going to win 8 games with Fitz, I'd rather win 6 with Geno and get a top 10 pick. Geno.... just because!

Time to move on Fitz couldn't deliver a playoff appearance with a easy schedule and a stacked roster. He certainly isn't doing anything with the tougher schedule this year. I don't know if the Jets have the cap space for even 7 million that they want to give Fitz. My sense is the Jets might have already decided to move on without him. imo, the tougher schedule shouldn't be that much of a concern. first off what teams did last season doesn't mean there will do well this season. some will and some will tank. only a few teams have the ability to be good year after year. secondly this team is still very strong. the defense is strong and may have gotten stronger with the two lb picks. the oline may have gotten stronger with clady and so have the receivers and backs. the only real hole is at qb. since this team needs a good game manager then genot may be able to do the job. What teams on this list are going to be worse than last yr?? I see most teams playing at a higher level, and the other 3 being equal to last yr. (Browns, 49ers, Colts) The Pats, in my estimation, got worse.... but Brady is the great equalizer. They'll win 11 games even with the suspension. 1 SEP 11 1:00PMEDT * BENGALS 2 SEP 15 8:25PMEDT * , AT BILLS 3 SEP 25 4:25PMEDT * AT CHIEFS 4 OCT 2 1:00PMEDT ) SEAHAWKS 5 OCT 9 1:00PMEDT * AT STEELERS 6 OCT 17 8:30PMEDT + AT CARDINALS 7 OCT 23 1:00PMEDT * RAVENS 8 OCT 30 1:00PMEDT * AT BROWNS 9 NOV 6 1:00PMEST * AT DOLPHINS 10 NOV 13 1:00PMEST ) RAMS 11 BYE 12 NOV 27 8:30PMEST ' PATRIOTS 13 DEC 5 8:30PMEST + COLTS 14 DEC 11 4:05PMEST * AT 49ERS 15 DEC 17 8:25PMEST , DOLPHINS 16 DEC 24 1:00PMEST * AT PATRIOTS 17 JAN 1 1:00PMEST * BILLS

Not really. The 2 guys who would be candidates are Marshall and Mangold. 2 years left on their deal with very little guaranteed money. You're just pushing money for players that will definitely play out their contracts and any financial impact would be short term. Not a big deal at all. Right now, we are $2MM under the top 51 cap. Draft class will cost about $5MM, so we need another $3MM to sign our draft class. plus $7 - $12MM if we agree to terms with Fitz. On top of that, we probably need another 2 to 3 mil for street free agents once the season starts. And in season, we will have to fit 53 players plus 10 practice squad players under our cap, which probably means another couple of million. Even if we pay Fitz $7MM, we still need to free up about $13-15 million minimum. I am sure Macc has a plan for that or else he would not have offered the reported $7 MM to Fitz. I don't like the idea of restructuring guys who are in their 30s, you never know when time starts to catch up with them. Both Marshall and Mangold have one year left on their deals. Maybe you can free up $3MM to $4MM each by converting salary to bonus without extending them, but that would still leave us short of what we need. Personally, I would prefer to restructure younger guys like Skrine & Decker, potentially extend them and spread the salary over their new years. I still think it will be very hard to free up $15 - $20MM cap space we would need to fit Fitz in under the cap at a price closer to his asking price. Without trading Mo, Macc is going to have some very tough decisions to make. Get Mo under contract and $8m gets freed up immediately. Expect Qvale or another of our "endless" list of 4th/5th rd. OL to make Breno expendable and save $4.5m Marshall/Mangold reworked deal saves another $4m each. Those moves alone free up $20m We'll be OK as long and Mo gets signed. If Mo proves difficult in getting his contract done, thenhe plays under the Tag and Fitz is a goner. Other moves stay in play to get our picks signed and have flexibility to sign Camp Cuts and make in-season moves

Here's what was taken after our pick at 20. I would have "Freaked" if we took another stab @ a 1st rd CB. Ifedi was the next best OL and he projects as a RT(not a 1st rd. selection). The WR's, though interesting, won't have the same impact as Lee will on the "D" especially with sub standard QB play IMO. DT we were not drafting.... so a Speed LB was the best selection for us in the 1st.... not a developmental QB. Bowles wants a dominant "D" while the LT answer at QB gets worked out. This draft was about Defense(I know, "AGAIN") and adding depth at offense for the future(Shell, Peake) and improving ST If Hackenberg can be ready for 2017, and we get the "D" running "Fast and Furious" I'm hoping with Father Time catching up with Brady, we can contend for the AFC East Title next year.

Did anyone draft OBJ's cousin? Physical FREAK!
You've heard about Terron Beckham's astounding numbers in the Bench Press and the Vertical Jump. He's strong and he can jump high, no doubt. However, a recurring questions about this intriguing prospect has been whether he can run and change directions.
If his recent mock Pro Day at TEST Football Academy is any indication, yes—the dude can move. With a little over a week remaining until Terron's official Pro Day on April 7, the coaches at TEST wanted to put him through the paces. Since Terron apparently likes to challenge himself, he decided to go into the mock Pro Day a little worn down. According to a recent Instagram post, the NFL hopeful entered the session low on carbs and running on just six hours of sleep. "They say they want to see you at your worst so I challenged myself to do the same," Beckham wrote.

Despite the fact that he wasn't at 100 percent, Terron posted eye-popping numbers. The 5-foot-11, 230-pound running back clocked a 4.49 in the 40-Yard Dash, a 128-inch Broad Jump and a 6.86-second 3-Cone Drill. He also recorded a 43.5-inch Vertical Jump. He did not perform the Bench Press, but we've seen him put up 40-plus reps before.
Let's compare Terron's numbers to the running backs at the 2016 NFL Combine. His 40 time would have tied him for 10th-best result. His Broad jump would've been fourth-best. His 3-Cone would've been third-best. His Vertical Jump would've been the best by two full inches. He didn't Bench Press at the mock Pro Day, but if he had, he probably would've crushed the top running back result of 30 reps.
For what it's worth, Terron's Vert and Broad Jumps surpassed those of his cousin, Odell Beckham, Jr., although he's over 30 pounds heavier. Odell posted a 38.5-inch Vert and a 122-inch Broad Jump at the 2014 NFL Combine, to go along with a 4.43 40-Yard Dash and a 6.69 3-Cone Drill.
Kevin Dunn, CEO and Owner of TEST, believes Terron's athleticism could make him a steal for a franchise that's willing to be patient with his development. "I think there's opportunity for him. I think there's definitely opportunity to hit a practice squad and develop over these next few years. He hasn't had the college football experience, so he is going to still need some more developing time," Dunn said. "But if that comes together, it could be the perfect storm for a team. It's not every day I'm watching a guy put up 40-plus reps in the Bench test, jumping an 11-6 Broad [Jump], [and] clocking a sub-4.50 laser-timed 40-Yard Dash."

The guy won Executive of the Year in 2015 and they have him at 12?? Fair, now that I think about it. Fixes the LT problem and RB situation. With Ozzy, Thompson, Colbert, Elway, Jon Robinson (Tenn) after that robbery of LA, McKenzie, Spielman, Gettleman, Dimitgroff, Keim, Schneider Those are in no particular order. Give Mac a few years and he'll be top 5.....

If anyone is interested, I added a tab to the draft sheet with the results of last year's Hampur draft. Only 4 players got selected in their correct spots from last years draft. Winston No brainer Shelton Cle Fowler Jacksonville and the CB that went to Minn. Looking at some of the results, there were a LOT of players over-valued by 2-3 rounds. Curious to see how this years pot luck goes! 11 days. That Rams trade and a few DUI/assault charges has already shred a few drafts. Hopefully Mo will also shake up our Draft Board for the Jets(HeyMangold)

Or the Jets trade involves Mo and #20 + 3rd for Kappernick and #7 Wonder what Gailey thinks of Kap? He's not the most accurate passer, but has a cannon and is one heck of a runner.

Maybe he's available to us in Rd. 3 now. I love this kid as a player and as a leader. Wait the year and enjoy the effort and play the following 3.

Dallas & Jax both need DL. Could be trade partners. Jax has cap room. If SF keeps Kap they also need DL & have plenty of cap space. I believe Titans would want to make sure they could get a LT deal done with Mo before trading picks. I'm sure Mac would rather wait to see how the Draft plays out 1st but beggars/choosers Wrote this in another thread....... Titans and Jags are my top choices for a trade. Caldwell has been GM since 2013 and the team still sucks. This is his last year as a GM unless they get to 8-8 or Div, title Mo lined up between Malik Jackson and Fowler will be devastating. That Division is Wide Open. Shad Kahn would love a player named Mohammed! Just opened the pools at the stadium! www.nfl.com/videos/jacksonville-jaguars/0ap2000000368606/Jaguars-owner-Khan-candid-about-new-swimming-pools Tenn. has a new GM and a ton of picks. He may choose to build his team solely on Draft picks(might blow a few) or get a Wilkerson and compete now! Don't want to waste these "Under Grace" years too much. Tenn. fans are tired of waiting for a winner. Maybe they get aggressive..... for Mo.

Top SEC corners would be Vernon Hargraves, Will Redmond, Rashard Robinson, Cyrus Jones, and Jonathan Jones. If it's Cyrus, Jonathan, or Robinson they probably won't get drafted. However, if it's Hargraves maybe he drops to 20. If the top 3 QBs are gone I'd jump all over him. My money is on Redmond or Robinson failing. I'd grab Hargreaves3 in an instant. Tremendous ball skills. You saw it at the combine in positional drills and the gauntlet. Kid caught everything and has great technique/footwork
