Guy was never given a chance would have been a top 10 player taken in the draft if he never got hurt. What will be funny if he turned out to be a big time QB if some QB needy team took him. I rather waste a 7th round pick on this guy then waste the #6 on Mariota who has bust all over him. Go look at some video on him this kid might be a possible solution at QB. Reason Chip is trading him he isnt Mariota type QB.

He will be the edge rusher this defense lacked.

More the reason the Jets need to find a long term solution this year! Whether that is a trade or drafting Mariota ( which Im not a big fan of). The Jets realistically have a 3 window with Revis Cromartie and Marshall these guys are north of 30 years meaning the Jets have a small window to get another shot at a championship. The QB situation is bad neither Geno or Fitzpatrick are no more than a 1 year band aid. That's why drafting more defense is useless without a solution at QB. Im for using the #6 to fix that first whether through trade or drafting but to pass on this for another year will throw all the progress the Jets have made out the window.

2011: Why are we paying for two elite CBs? Ridiculous! Revis is asking for too much. Get rid of one. 2012: Shit, Revis injured? Good thing we have Cro. Fuck yeah, Cro is even better with Revis. So long Mevi$! 2013: Fuck yeah we traded Revis. Now we have Cro. Wait, Cro sucks this year? So long Cro! 2014: Shit, now we don't have any CBs. Can we get Revis back? No? What about Cro? 2015: Let's get Revis. We got Revis? Let's get Cro. We got Cro? Why are we paying for two elite CBs? Post of the Week! That's SOJF in a nutshell. "It's too cloudy out." (Sun comes out) "I'm going to get a sunburn!" Can call me SOJF if you want I was one and still stand by my statement that paying Revis 15 million a year was crazy and still is paying Cromartie 8 million was unnesscary after signing skrine. Had Idzik did his job last year and signed a couple CBS last year which average around 7 million a year he still be here along with Rex. This year the CB market is expensive Maxell was going for 10 Million a year for 4 million more you get Revis who is a better CB. I guarantee everyone will be crying in the next 2 years when the Jets can't resign wilkerson and Richardson because the Jets have almost 40 million tied up in the CB position. All these movements were done to appease the season ticket holders who are ready to dump their tickets. I'm all for signing Revis they had no choice the market for CBS sucks this year but Cromartie is overkill which will strap this franchise cap wise for years to come you can't dump these guys because to much of a cap hit. Revis and Skrine should have been it. I don't think people will be happy if Richardson and Wilkerson end up On the Pats.

Woody is apologizing this is a peace offering. That's why they targeted Revis and Cromarte not just to fix the secondary but he knew the fans were angry that they got released in the first place. I think maybe now has learned that in order to make money you have to spend it and put a decent product on the field. This isn't a small market team fans pay a ton of money to see them you can't cut player like Revis and not replace them and expect success. I hope all you Mets fan now understand why the Yankees spend like they do its New York.

This was a big area of need the Jets lacked a safety that can cover. With the type of defense Bowles runs Does Pryor become expendable? Pryor really doesn't fit this defense.

Please go be a fan of the Seminoles. Yeah but with that money they could of signed Culliver a kid with more upsideĀ for cheaper...I know I will be in the minority for this but why not go with the cheaper and younger alternative? I like the Revis signing think it was cheap considering Byron Maxell is getting 4 million less a year. I agree with you about Cromartie too much money tied up in 1 position. The Jets need weapons for that money they could have gotten Demarco Murray. I like to see them grab CJ spiller This offense also needs another Guard Winters sucks. I think Skrine, Revis, and Milliner would be great add in McDougal, and williams you got a really good set at CBs. Like I said trade the #6 for Brees because with all this money tied up you are not resigning Wilkerson or Sheldon Richardson the Jets are mortgaging the future to get the fan base rev up.

NO is not going to give Brees away without gaining a few picks. If they are indeed in rebuild mode they need picks or players that come cheap and young. I don't think the Jets can do that, we are to the bare bones now. Our best option is for NO not to jump ahead of us needing a QB and take Mariota at 6. Not that I would not give up 6th for Brees, I just think NO will need more later round picks and we don't have to give, unless we want to take draft day off. Swap first round picks with NO that will get it done they want to move up and get Mariota. With the age and money involved in this year's FA the jets don't have the luxury of waiting for a rookie to develop. They need a veteran right now the way Revis is set up the Money spent on skin Marshalls north of 30 the Jet are in SB Or bust mode. At this point the Jet will not have the money in future years to resign a lot of key players no longer a rebuilding it's win now.

With all the Money invested in this team They need to make this trade they have a 3 -5 year window a Rookie QB doesn't cut it. This is no longer a rebuilding year Maybe swapping first round picks this year gets it done. I said Swap not give them it. the Saints moving up to 6 is pricey Jets still get a first round plus Brees they just move back.

The guy played opposite of Haden on the Browns decent pick up depth wise his only problem is he gets a lot of penalties. He is only 25 so Bowles can fix that I see him more like a nickle CB I think they signed him as insurance if Miliner goes down and will start opposite of Milliner if the Jets don't land Revis or another elite CB. The Jets had to do something since FA market is drying up.

No they blew it 3 years in a row. Woody needs to stop micromanaging thfront office and let them do their job. The Jets should have locked up Buron Maxell and one of the Guards. I cant see Mac or Bowles really wanting to get Revis this is a Woody crap to sell more seats. Guaranteed if theMac could do his Job they would have landed a few top level FA. 50 million and nothing to show for it level 2 free agents are not going to turn this around the Jets need some decent players to get this turned around. again relegated to Jags who will keep this team in the cellar in AFC east. Maybe I was wrong about Idzik and Rex this team is doing the same as it did last year nothing. Swapping Harvin for Marshall is not a major thing not when you have so many holes to fill and the team is sitting on his hands.

On SportsCenter, John Clayton said that Iupati "picked Arizona over the Jets", suggesting that we finished in 2nd place for him. I'm not sure if that makes me feel better or worse. The Jets are going to have to overpay to get the player they want. Right now no one is joining the Jets after the circus. So unless the Jets throw the bank at them they are not coming. The Jets could have gotten Lupati by over bidding offering a massive guaranteed amount up front. I know that's not how you run a team but right now that's what you have to do.

Yes, Boling is definitely worth signing. Iupati would've been nice, but I'm sure he got a hefty chunk of change from the Cards. So why is that a problem? The Jets are 50 million under the cap. They have to spend 80% of that according to the bargaining agreement.
