She will be in a remake of "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" Ugh. Can you imagine current Meg doing the orgasm scene at the diner now? It would look like Michael Jackson turning into the werewolf in the Thriller video.

By far my favorite Jet player. His was the first authentic jersey I ever bought back in 1997. Still have it, still wear it. One of the truly "good guys" in the League. Tough, played hurt, passionate. Guys like Curtis Martin don't come along very often. '97 was the year before Martin joined the Jets. That means you bought it while he played for the Patriots. That means you're a closet Patriots fan. Ban and decapitate. Or vice-versa.

Not a bad call, poor execution. If you honestly believe that, then in your eyes there is no such thing as a bad call. That is easily in the running for the worst call in the history of football. The only call worse than that one in that spot, in that situation, with that roster...would have been sending out the FG kicker.

look at the bright side, at least it was Butler making that INT, not Revis The thought of that, and realizing it didn't happen that way, is actually making it less painful that the Pats just got their 4th in this millenium.

Don't want him anymore. He's been defiled. He's like the sweet virgin bride you find out got creampied by Adolf Hitler the night before your wedding. Could it get any worse? I would take Revis back in a heartbeat, but this is easily the best anti-Revis argument I've ever heard.

I can understand the play call. Flats* likely expecting run, so throw the ball. Incomplete stops the clock, complete scores 6. Except I wouldn't have thrown it over the middle. Too risky. That ball gets tipped even, and it's bad news, maybe a play action pass would have been a better call. So I understand the reasoning behind the call, just baffled at the particular play call. We're Monday Morning Quarterbacking, but seriously...these guys are around football all their lives and thought this was the right call in that situation? Carroll himself says "they were goal line defense and bunched in the middle..." so the best call there is a throw OVER THE MIDDLE against an attacking defense? You don't want to run Marshawn? I disagree, but whatever. But where was the play-action bootleg, where Wilson has a run / pass option? Where was the fade pass so it's your guy or no guy? If you're running the pic play, run it for the guy who's breaking outside, not the guy who's breaking inside? It was just a colossal fuckup. Bevell throwing a scrub like Lockette under the bus makes him a piece of shit and I'm glad he's not coming here.

Never understood the hate. Which one of you would give up millions in raise money because of "loyalty" to your employer? Seriously. People act like Revis traded himself, forced Tampa Bay to cut him, then made Idzik NOT go after him when he was available and affordable.
Yeah, he sucked in the '10 offseason for holding out and missing camp...but that was a year after one of the best seasons a corner has ever had, and months after his HC basically told him how indispensable he was. The guy gets too much of a bad rap, and I'd love to see him come back and finish his career in NY.
All that said, don't see it happening unless the Jets are willing to overpay and I hope they aren't - too many other holes right now.

This gets said every year about the RB position in the draft...meanwhile the Jets haven't drafted a legitimate starter at the position since Freeman McNeil (unless you count Murrell and Leon, which I don't). That's over 30 years, though I'll admit I loved Leon as a backup. They might finally end that drought this year...or they could get a known commodity in Spiller who has experience in the offense, has little wear, and would not be coming in to be a starter. I'd sign Spiller, but only for cheap, short money. If not move onto the next guy. They haven't but so what? Its pretty easy to find a Chris Ivory or CJ Spiller in Free Agency or through a cheap trade. Unless you are going to find an elite back in the draft like Adrian Peterson, its not worth a high draft pick. Build the oline and then put any decnet RB back there and you are fine. When the last non-JAG the Flats* had at running back? Right, but that's pretty much my point. Go with a known product like Spiller to team with Ivory, and if you want to take a shot on an RB with a late rounder go for it. Spiller fits. He does come with injury / fumble-prone tags, but he also comes with game-breaking ability and most likely a reasonable price tag.

So BB stonewalls the media and he's a genius. Lynch does it and he's a thug. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the color of his skin. "Thug", a lot of times is a white persons code word, (btw I'm white). If Jordy Nelson acts the same way he's not getting called a thug in my opinion. Not talking to the media doesn't mean he's a thug, it means he doesn't want to talk to the media. Who cares? It's his money to spend on the fines not yours. I don't understand why people care so much about him talking. And that hit & run was 6 1/2 years ago. And the girl he hit was dancing in the middle of the street during a downpour and Lynch didn't even realize he hit somebody. He stopped for her to get out of the road and then drove off apparently side swiping her without knowing. The girl had a bruise on her hip and had 7 stitches. Hardly the "massacre" Bing is making it out to be. The only other time he was in trouble with the law was when he was barely over the legal drinking limit (0.10). Making him out to be a thug b/c of those two things is highly questionable. Just like Sherman was a "thug" b/c he talked to much last year. You may as well say the N word in my opinion. He makes a fortune, is treated like a king, has no trouble enjoying the spoils of his success, which is fine. But when the league wants him to make brief appearances to promote the product he acts like it's sooo unfair. Please, get over yourself, jackass..... All true. But this warrants him being called a "useless thug?" It's funny how when it's guys like Lynch, people skip right over "jerk" and "ass" (terms most of us would agree with) and go right to what they really want to say...

Am I the only one that doesn't want Spiller? The guy has had issues holding on to the ball -- 7 fumbles over the last two seasons. RB is a young man's position -- and there is a lot of depth in the draft. Lets get a young cheap RB in the draft -- Duke Johnson, David Johnson, Jay Ajayi, David Cobb, etc. I think there are better ways to spend free agent money (OL, CB, S, LB). This gets said every year about the RB position in the draft...meanwhile the Jets haven't drafted a legitimate starter at the position since Freeman McNeil (unless you count Murrell and Leon, which I don't). I apologize if this is a repeat thread but I figured we can start discussing what would be the ideal FA's that the Jets will need to sign. I figure I would take a crack it and see what other interesting names you guys come up with: 1) Antonio Cromartie CB- 2 years- 12 million- He is a natural fit in Bowles scheme. I was dead wrong about him being done. 2) Devin McCourty F/S- 5 years- 40 million- What a steal this would be if we nab him from the Flats*. Contract talks have stalled with him for almost a year now. 3) Greg Hardy DE/OLB- 1 year- 5 million (prove it deal)- He can play all over the field...3-4 OLB, DE...etc...He would be a major risk with his legal issues but well worth it. 4) Jamari Lattimore ILB- 2 years- 4 million- A tad bit undersized but an effective backup and a core special teamer. 5) Shawn Hill QB- 1 year- 3million- A proven backup veteran QB that can spell Geno should he fail again. I just don't see Houston letting Fitzmagic go and stem their hopes on 2nd year QB Tom Savage. 6) Demaryius Thomas WR- 7 years- 112million- I know this is a pipedream but imagine this guy in green and white? Draft Amari Cooper and put Decker in the slot? Talk about turning your offense around but hey its wishful thinking. Tori Smith would be another very good and probably the more realistic option at 7 mill a year on a 4 year contract. 7) CJ Spiller RB- 3 years- 15 million- Perfect compliment with Ivory and a great fit in Chan Gailey's scheme. 8) Mike Iupati LG- 6 years- 100million- One of the biggest if not the biggest Jet area of need, filled with a pro-bowler. 9) Will Montgomery C/G- 2 years- 4million- A rock solid player who can play both center and guard. He can spell Nick Mangold on some plays. 10) Matt Spaeth TE- 1 year 1.25million- Need a very good blocking big bodied TE to open holes for our RB's and to help in the red zone. 11) Resign Snacks, Ellis and Powell and start talking long term deal with Mo Wilkerson. I might be off on some salaries but I really like the guys that I picked. Then the Jets FO can focus on getting the BPA in the draft. Thoughts? I think the Jets can get Spiller and Cro for less money than that, but keeping it realistic, give me these four (plus a QB other than Hill) and I'm happy.

Rep from here also for good measure. Well said. I'll go one further - if Lynch doesn't look the way he looks, or instead it's Wayne Chrebet trying to avoid all opportunities to speak to the media, I imagine the rhetoric would be sympathetic. Something along the lines of, "Why does the NFL feel the need to make the man talk? He wants to let his play on the field do the talking for him, let the man be! Goodell is an asshole!"

He shoulda been back last year. Fuck you, Idzik!!! Yes. I firmly believe the Jets open the season 3-0 if Cro is holding down one CB spot. Not far-fetched when you think about how those games played out.

Geno has talent. It's not impossible he turns it around. I hope he does. You seriously think he has potential? Even after all of the ridiculous interceptions he threw last year?!?! Boy, that first quarter against the Bills at home is hard to forget...
But that Miami game (and the first half against Green Bay) on the other hand was the best play we've seen at the position since Vinny in '98. I understand why some are already through with him, but I think he should get one more good look with the new staff before we move on.
