I like Elliot a lot and would be very happy if we got him but I think he is going to go much earlier than people think. Decker wouldn't mind him but any guy at 20 for me needs to be more LT ready than just really good rt with a maybe of lt.
Not sold on Lee as much as others, wouldn't freak out if they picked him because I have a good feeling about our gm.

Paradis back to his roots of TE evaluation and pumping. I will be surprised if the jets draft a te unless they they trade things and get more picks.

I don't mind the alof bit as that is always a matter of perception and 1st impression and that can often be wrong. Clueless about drawing up plays is a worry.

I had interest in him but boy he looked shitty at the combine, not just the 40 he was not good in the drills. How much better is he than matakavich who can probably be gotten later in the draft? How the hell did he get all those sacks I wonder? I am with you on getting a guy with instincts though. Davis was flat out clueless.

Yeah, no shit. But you're kidding yourself if you don't think coaches and front office personnel put a ton of stock into these workouts. a ton?..no...bench presses, you're laying down and no one is on u...40's? i don't care what an OL does on the 40's...turf can help your speed on the 40's and that could mean more money for the player but doesn't tell me anything about rte running, separation, quickness game speed etc...these combines are a little overrated...just another show for the NFL network... I think what it does is what guys like Mayock and Jeremiah have said in the past, if a guy performs exceptionally well or exceptionally poor at the combine it just makes the scouts go back and watch more tape to see if the guy is playing faster or slower than they thought. It can also in a few cases mean that a player has not put the work in to do well. There are some front offices and people however that do 100% for sure get influenced a fair bit. Al Davis, our won Jets on guys like Stephen Hill and Keller.

what are his stats from last year? I dont want to draft another receiver who has less than 60 catches last season...no more of these guys with 20 or 30 catches and loads of "potential" fuck potential, I want production. 2013 - 5 catches 2014 - 53 catches 2015 - 48 catches 4.59 40 at the combine.

QB comparison time, also known as time to rip on Beerfish's outlandish comments.
Wentz - Andy Dalton (The good Andy Dalton, not the bad playoff one.) Lynch - Joe Flacco (Potential to be a better version of Flacco if his health checks out) Goff - Drew Brees light (I still have him as my #1 QB, throws a very nice ball and gets it out quickly.) Cook - Matt Barkley (Right down to the fact that he should have come out last year.) Hackenburg - Zack Mettenburger (Because their names are similar.) C. Jones - JaWalrus Russell (Jones face looks like he is just begging to put on about 50 more pounds.)

yeah ok...how does his game films look?... It's not something you just ignore I remember people defending Jarvis Jones a few years back after a subpar combine performance saying "Just look at his tape!"He's been a total disappointment so far. And Jones actually ran faster than Spence and didn't have the baggage off the field, although there was also the concern about the whole "spinal stenosis" thing. Meekly raises his hand.

I thought Cody whitehiar was supposed to be some great run blocking beast, only 16 in the bench?

Pretty tough decision. I love the potential of Elliot and spence (though my character concerns are well documented) however if they think the Qb is indeed a 10-12 year really good starter then you have to take QB.

And the on field workouts are under way. Kickers & long snappers running the 40 to get things started. If punters do not run at least a 5.15 I take them off my board.

Tough at this point but here are my early ones.
Fav: Zeke Elliot, I know it is not popular to rate RB's high but this guy seems to be a ready made 3 down do it all player that will be good from day one and barring injury be a big help to the team that picks him.
Do not touch: LeRaven Clark, He is not super highly rated yet but he is the classic looks the part big time, 6'5 316, super long arms. looks all the world like a great LT in waiting. He looked horrible at the workouts for senior or shrine bowl, forget which he was in.

Good lord where is everybody?! Stuck in office today. When do the QBs throw? Tomorrow? Thought that would be Saturday. Goff and hack with 9 inchers. In a different time and a different place that might be a good thing. I have had goff rated as the #1 guy off the board at QB but he will have to really impress in his workouts.
